Founding Fathers Flyer Set For New Hampshire Newspaper!

um...i realize most folks are clueless.....but i think they'll understand that the founders are dead, and will see the creative point its trying to make....

i will however change the "we warned you" to "we warned against" and i'll add captions for the names of the founders...we will also add youtube video addres for ron paul stop dreaming at the bottom....with a full page we have room to do this..

there will also be a mugshot of RP added to the bottom and a direct appeal to donate

I don't think people will think the founders are still alive, I think that they will think it is pretentious and presumptuous to say that they endorse a candidate.

With a full page ad you have room to change the founders endorse ron paul to something like "Ron Paul's voting record shows that he stands for the ideals of the founders more than any other candidate". It is just a bad Idea to take the creative license to say that they endorse him. It is in reality a baseless claim because they are dead.

If you are going to spend the money to put this in the paper I would go with the back, it is much more informative. It lets people know where he stands on issues.

You could change it to "Don't YOU think the founders would endorse Ron Paul?"

It would be just as effective and it would avoid making a unfounded statement.

If you say the founders endorse Paul you are opening the grassroots up for ridicule.

Yeah, what he said

Wow! This is a nice flyer. I was wondering if somebody can direct me to a site that has these flyers already made. I'd like to order 1000 two-sided flyers. I found a site earlier but cannot seem to find it now. Anybody have a link?

The same person who is laying out this 2-sided flyer, also did another one. It is here, complete with ordering instructions.

Huh? Have you changed your mind and decided to use the 2-sided flyer as an insert in the newspaper?

no

i was just telling him how to get fliers from Xar...

i spoke to a friend to day who owns an advertisng business about this. He recommends the full page ad because many people automatically discard inserts...However, he advised me to insist upon placement near the early pages and on the right hand side...which i will insist upon

another advantage of the full page ad is that such an ad, in and of itself is newsworthy...I think we have a good shot of getting secondary media coverage on this.

The fact that unpaid volunteers pulled off a full page color ad in the state's biggest paper is, in and of itself, newsworthy....especially if 1000's of us start calling in and ordering copies the following Monday!...lol

I just sent $50.

Thanks for putting this together!

My pleasure....

The next step after the ad runs is for ALL OF US to swamp the New Hampshire Union Leaders phone lines with credit card orders to mail that issue to us...

They'll be blown away and possibly do a story on that!

I think RP will get a kicj out of this blockbuster ad. We'll have to send copies to Rudy and Romney too

This "friend in the advertising business" wholeheartedly concurs - a no brainer.

It's going to act like an iceberg on the establishment's Titanic...

Which part is a no-brainer, the full-page ad vs. insert, just the ad itself, ...?
Others (including me) want to re-use the ad in other states. Insight on the best "bang-for-the-buck" would be great from people more in the know than ourselves.

Thanks!
