Former Bachmann IA Chair Endorses Ron Paul (State Sen. Kent Sorenson)

Who is this joker and why do we care.

Maybe he's a troll who Bachmann told to do this so she could claim something bogus.

I attended the fundraiser for Kent for his senate campaign, to see Ron Paul as the head speaker. I was very disappointed to see him go to Bachmann. Bachmann's co-chair Brad Zaun has also been at numerous Paul events.

It is all very interesting indeed. At the very least, he was just coming back where he belonged.

That said, based on his decision, I don't entirely trust him.

This is going to get ugly. They are accusing of "bribes" and everything else now:

Sorenson's '08/'10 campaign mgr Susan Geddes tells @tombeaumont that Sorenson told her last month of $$ offer to switch his ties to Paul

Also, this was referred to in Bachmann's response. This might get more negative attention than positive? I don't know how it will play out?

Some of you astound me.

Ron Paul is winning. His opponents self-implode on queue. The anti-Paul media spin backfires every time they try to ignore or smear him. His ads have been tremendous. He popped the balloon that was Trump. He crushed Gingrich.

Ron Paul is on fire. Everything is going our way.

Tonight, we had a Senator jump ship from an opposing campaign and endorse Ron Paul. And yet, somehow, some of you STILL find ways to find way to frame this as a bad thing. Ridiculous. Here's a hint Ron Paul fans - if your heart is filled with concern over something Ron Paul says or his campaign does, do us a favor and keep it to yourself. Wait a day, and you'll feel better. And to the shills? GTFO.

. @TeamBachmann says Sorenson told her he was offered large sum of money to join Ron Paul. #iacaucus

Bachmann is pretty good at throwing out a lie to the public and not getting caught in it. Such as the IAEA report in the last debate. The one time I can think of of her getting caught in her own lie is the whole "Gardasil made this girl retarded" bit.

BREAKING**Bachman's campaign manager defects to Ron Paul**

Just heard (by radio) that a Bachman staff member defected to support Ron Paul!
:D

http://www.examiner.com/charleston-democrat-in-charleston-sc/bachmann-campaign-manager-endorses-paul

Less than one week before the Iowa caucus, the state director of Rep. Michelle Bachmann’s campaign jumped ship and endorsed another candidate.

State Sen. Kent Sorenson (R-Indianola) announced this evening he was changing his support to Rep. Ron Paul while attending a “Salute to Veterans” rally organized for the Texas congressman.

“Today, I am switching my support from Michele Bachmann to Ron Paul for the 2012 Iowa Caucuses and the presidency of the United States,” Sorenson said, calling the decision “one of the most difficult I have made in my life.”

“Ron Paul is the only candidate to predict the current mess we find ourselves in economically, and he’s the only candidate to offer a true plan to cut spending and balance our budget.”

Don't think that I'm picking on you but I want to illustrate to everyone how using the search function can quickly show that we already have 10 threads on this topic.

Well, since this thread is already declared dead (Thank you, by the way (Pauls' Revere).....I hadn't seen this post in the past.) This seems to be the perfect place to ask about the search function:

Exactly what search terms did you type in to find previous posts? I try to use the search function and never come up with anything productive. I always end up doing a Google search with "Ron Paul Forums" along with my search topic to find out if an article has been posted. As a matter of fact, the only post that I could find when I searched for Bachman's campaign manager defecting (by using the forum search engine) was this very one that we're on now.

Actually, the link that you provided shows "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." which is usually the exact thing that comes up when I search. Maybe you can't link to a search, so this is probably a different problem.

Love this forum. Hate the search function.

Strange, my link IS supposed to be the search results. My search term was simply "Bachmann". I figured any thread on this subject would have Bachmann's name in the title. So I selected Advanced Search, Search Single Content tab, Bachmann as the keyword, Search Titles Only next to the keyword text field, Show Results As "Threads" then Search Now. I got back 10 threads on the subject.

I'll grant that vBulletin's search feature is obtuse and using site:ronpaulforums.com in Google works pretty well too but if you use the method I listed above, you'll ensure that any topics you are looking to start aren't covered already.

Thanks Viper. I'll give it a try.

Edit:
"Bachman" worked perfectly :)

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
Anything that saves me time is always appreciated.

I think Bachmann will be the only one to drop out after Iowa. It's her home state after all, if she does miserably there where else is she gonna win?

Bumping to bring this to the top, to avoid duplicate threads (I merged 5 threads into this one)
