Former Bachmann IA Chair Endorses Ron Paul (State Sen. Kent Sorenson)

Ron helped Kent become senator. He was just coming back home where he should have stayed in the first place.

Politico won't matter, this will be big news where we need it, in Iowa.

Shouldn't this be drudged?

Nevermind, they have it. I guess I expected it to be the headliner, instead of Santorum.

Why would Paul possibly offer money to a LOWER-TIER candidate's chair to come to his side?

He wouldn't.
Exactly.

Why would Ron Paul try to pay money to a Bachmann hack?

AS IF Ron Paul has money to waste like the Washington establishment and Wall Street crony backed candidates Newt and Mitt!!!

By the way has anyone noticed the FOX NEWS BLACKOUT on this defection news?

Hahahahaha Roger Ailes must have given strict orders to be silent about this good news to RP2012

Ron Paul has a strong relationship with Sorenson. Our people backed him for State Rep, and for State Senate. This is a great thing for the campaign. All these "concern trolls" freaking out about everything give me the red *ss.

Why do I remember Kent's name and not in a favorable fashion? I'm thinking from 2007-2008 timeframe. Maybe I'm mistaken.

It was this year. He apparently wanted a job with the Paul campaign, wasn't given one and joined Bachmann. He trash talked Ron Paul all summer. At least he's come to his senses at the right time!

Yah right. Trust the campaign team. They more than competent and are doing a great job. This hurts Bachmann bad and she is trying to muddy the waters. It would be epic if Sorenson actually decided to join the campaign for the next five days for no money.

Big (rhymes with walls)
Falls?

Well to fair, it probably would have been a huge amount of cash to the Bachmann campaign, but to the rest of us, that and a quarter could buy a cup of coffee.

This campaign is too far behind the treasure ships that Romney has in his fleet; I doubt they could have offered this guy much to come over if that's the case. We've got to spend every cent we have churning out ads to make up for the time the media won't give us (excluding smear interviews, I mean) on the news segments.

...which would be the stupidest move the campaign could have made. We need Bachmann in the race.

In the short run, it can help to have her in, since it splits up the opposition vote and makes it easier to take first place. In the long run, no. There are too many states with proportional delegate allocation. If we criss-crossed America getting first place in almost every state with 30-40% of the vote, we'd still get screwed at the convention. Eventually we have to make it Ron Paul versus Romney and beat him with a majority.

Sorenson made it clear that he felt obligated to help Ron because Ron helped him. Shows good character - I'm sure he knows that he's not making any friends in high places with a move like that.
