FORGET 2016; here's why:

Lol, a Republican who isn't Ron Paul suddenly cares about the Constitution. Yeah right. If a Republican was president we wouldn't care at all, but since it's Obama in office he suddenly pretends to care.

Walter Jones has shown support for Ron Paul a number of times in the past

Unforunately, just like anything negative one tries to overcome, you must hit rock bottom before you can recover. I think this may be the case with our country as well. The majority of the sheep in this country will not truly realize that a dramatic shift in political thinking must take place until we have a complete and total collapse. I just hope that it's not too late at that point.

On a side note, I put a Ron paul magnet on my wifes vehicle this morning, and she was literally ganged up on by her fellow employees due to this. So what is it that people disagree with? Freedom? Personal liberty? The thought that our government should actually follow the US Constitution? The thought that we should stop these senseless wars? I mean seriously, what the hell is wrong with people.

I posted in a thread a letter I got from the campaign in which Ron Paul basically says that if we don't outright win this election, or at least get the GOP to instate our ideological platform, there may be nothing left to save by the time 2016 rolls around. http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?365691-Just-got-this-from-the-campaign

This is scary stuff, people!
Anyone who tries to motivate with fear automatically sets off red flags for me. I don't like it when Paul goes that route. He's been thru enough to know that it isn't all going to end.

It's a fine line. People need to be pessimistic enough about the future that we keep fighting but not so pessimistic that we say "Screw donating to Ron Paul! I need to take what money I have, buy survival gear and head off to some third world Island where I can at least bribe my way to some modicum of freedom."

People are acting illogical because they have been brainwashed by the radio mafia. Hannity et.al literally have control over the republican party. Their listeners have fallen prey to their Con-man-esque controlling methods. ---- Tell the mark what they KNOW to be true(constitution rhetoric), garner their trust(democrats are satan rhetoric), then swoop in for the take. Guide them straight down the path of neo-con/establishment hell. THAT is exactly what has happened.

This right here.

It truly is a fine line. The evidence is there that our future is at stake. It's all economics 101. We are reaching a breaking point ever more as the days go by. People need to wake up and be cautious; start fighting against the machine and start holding Congress accountable.

However, there is no telling how much time we have, exactly. Could be two years, could be 20 years. Either way, it's nothing to put off any longer.

This Obama administration official sounds as bad as Bush and his people. Where is the change? Lol.
and to make things even worst all my black friends, family members and black people i encounter think he's such an awesome president.....because he's black, it's sad, it really is, and im black too by the way. I just don't understand, and all these so called obama supporters don't know or understand a damned thing about politics at all and they try to tell me how good of a president obama is? shit's sickening and scary when you think about it.

The sad thing is, is that the information is right there for everyone, if you want to take the time to seek it out. The majority of the people (white, black, brown, polka dotted) only believe what they are told by the main stream media. And we all know how biased that information is.

Those are some evil men right there.

Ron Paul is fighting to put an end to the kind of thing you will see in the clip below, and if we fail to support him now, there will most likely be nothing left to resurrect in four years! This happened yesterday in D.C.

I literally screamed out of disgust. I can't believe this shit. Panetta can go suck a sock.

Good point.

It's all part of the game of politics. You have to keep the false paradigm going or else the American people won't buy it.

"protip" is gamer slang (wrong section of the internet I suppose :p) rate of consumption >>> rate of creation, I've read more than one study on this and friends of the family have worked on projects as diverse and gulf rigs and field operation/restoration over in Iraq Kwait(sp?)
Statements in general still stand there is no such thing as 'limitless' oil.
That having been said I'm always open to more info, if you'd care to provide links to studies which show data to the contrary I'll be happy to read them and consider the data given (such is my way). Until such a time however I see no reason to alter the perceptions gained by talking to the people I know + my own research in the field.

The issue is that we are taking it out faster than it is being created. As once 3rd world countries are being developed, the problem is going to get worse. But, right now, there is a lot of oil left, if the government would allow it to be drilled.

2008 RPF members: 'That's it, we're doomed. There won't even be a country in 2012!'
2012 RPF members: 'That's it, we're doomed. There won't even be a country in 2016!'

Good point. I don't claim to know when the S will HTF. We're like a frog being boiled in water. This is going to happen slowly, incrementally, until we are under a full-blown authoritarian regime where the president is the king and the assembly of cronies known as Congress doesn't claim any obligation to answer to anyone. The American people will slowly become more miserable, but most will never find the source of their misery and oppression and will, instead, seek more answers from government. Yes, it will be a slow and painful death for the Constitution.

And yet none of it completely destroyed the country.

This idea that the world will end if Ron doesn't get elected has been spread by who else but... RON PAUL.

It's a fallacy and even he knows it, he's spreading the idea so people stay active in campaigning and while it's quite brilliant its also very detrimental to the bigger picture.

This country has decades left, not years, that's more than enough time to take back the GOP and restore freedom to this country.

The second Ron is out of the race he'll be saying the same thing.

Rome lasted almost 5 more centuries after Cicero died...

Years? We've got decades folks, never forget the big picture...

The country doesn't have to be completely destroyed for some of us to realize we're already in deep shit. Bad things are happening in this country because of the rights that have been eroded so far. Hell, I don't even know if there WILL be a complete collapse of the US. There may never be, but I can guarantee you it won't matter to those who suffer the consequences of tyranny directly. Much less will it matter in terms of, you guessed it, the BIG PICTURE because most of our rights will be already eroded slowly, but surely. It's called creeping authoritarianism. It will never stop creeping even when most of the communist objectives have been accomplished. It's irrelevant how much time we have before a total collapse because we are already suffering and it is only going to get worse. I don't have to think the world will be thrown into darkness to know we are on the wrong path and that we are getting the shit end of the stick despite whether or not the politicians save face and tell us everything is alright. It doesn't matter if we still pretend we're okay because we are already a collapsed and broken country as a people ruled over by dictators, but we don't even realize it.

The idea that we either are fine or are on the verge of total collapse is a false dichotomy. This idea that we have to reach our goal before a certain pivotal moment before the complete breakdown of the country is a complete hoax. What we are going to see in the future is more of what we are going through right now, and it doesn't take a genius to know we need to stop it.

"protip" is not a word, and "excepted" in this context means "excluded".

BTW crude oil is being created constantly under the ground. You need to stop listening to misinformation.

Yeah, peak oil is another fear mongering tactic the elite have used in order to light a fire under the asses of the American people so that they cry out for more government authorized action, just like the entire environmentalist, global warming crowd. Crude oil is a renewable resource. It doesn't take millions of years to form.
