Federal Reserve Policy Audit Legislation ‘Gutted,’ Paul Says

Because Frank handed the bill to Watt to amend and attach to the huge federal banking regulation bill. Frank is who we really should be going after. Don't tell me he didn't know Watt would do this.

That's kinda my point though. How can Watt just amend 1207 as he sees fit? Isn't his job to just compile the different bills together into one properly formatted large bill for a vote? I want to see how Watt's arbitrary changing of the contents of 1207 as part of the process is legal and proper. Where is his authority to do so?

I would love to understand this myself. All I can see is that Barney Blank is the Chairman and thus he has the power to delegate that power to his slicer / dicer watt.

email sent.
i'll ask him about real-id, military commission act, etc.
as a marine, he swore to protect and defend the constitution. I will see if he can reconcile his positions with his oath.

Hit him with Oathkeepers to.
Thanks man, your above and beyond.

well, this shit has pissed me off thoroughly.
Before I pick up my rifle, I want to know that I tried every peaceful avenue first.
Let it not be said that we did nothing.

How do we get this to come up as the first hit on a Google image search for Mel Watt?

I just blogged it under the title "Mel Watt - Fed Shill". Blog it, Digg it, post it on other forums - get it out on the web everywhere (the picture, I mean, not necessarily my blog, though you're welcome to do that too :o ). Just make sure to use the words "Mel Watt Fed Shill" so that phrase will be rise to the top of the search engines.

ok, what do you think of this email before i send it:

Well done. Very well done. :)

commitee chairmen have huge authority to mess with legislation. That is why it is such a big deal if one party or the other has the majority. The chairmen posts almost always goes to the majority party even if there is only a one vote majority in the whole house or senate.

I think we are in agreement what Zombies look like now.

Again, Frank is the chairman, not Watt. I mean, if this is really what happens then it sounds like 99% of the legislative process is simply a show. One friggin guy that has no position of authority on the committee can amend and gut a bill sponsored by 307 members???

That's like saying Obama can just designate someone else as POTUS for the day if he's not feeling well. Certainly not arguing with you here. Just more frustrated and I know this is not how the Founders intended for Congress to be run. The oligarchy becomes more obvious by the day.

I'm pissed but I'm not the least bit surprised. To be expected in the corrupted politics of today. We knew they weren't going down without a huge fight. It's only the beginning.

Now, I want to know how one man can single-handedly gut an entire bill that has 307 cosponsors on his own decision? Who the hell is Mel Watt and why can he do this? Barney Frank is chairman of RP's committee, not Mel Watt, right? Can someone elaborate on how this is even possible? I want to make sure that this is completely accurate before we start responding. So far our ONLY source is a single Bloomberg article. RP himself hasn't said anything of this nature so I'm curious why it's suddenly in a MSM media outlet. I would have expected a CFL video before this article.

We MUST wait for confirmation before acting. Always remember that there are certain people that would love to provoke us into doing something stupid without having all the facts!!

Dude no one gives a shit about the CFL and what its members are doing. This is guerrilla warfare man. You can't be waiting for videos. That's like waiting for the dogs to bark before you start moving again. If we followed some wait and see play book, we'd be playing right into their game. Play some chess. You can't keep making the same moves playing against the grand money masters. So what if we email every senator and congressman about something that isn't true. It'll expose Bloomberg for the lying son's a bitches they are, that is if everyone gave a damn about honest media. Or it'll make us look like domestic terrorists.

"Watt is chairman of the panel’s domestic monetary policy and technology subcommittee."
Frank handed it to the democratic chairmen of this other committee.

Ok people. It's time to turn up the heat. Time to play hardball like the CIA does. We need to investigate this SOB and find out who he is working for. I never thought it would have to come to this.

Gerrymandered district

The 12th district, in its original configuration, was criticized as a gerrymandered district. It was originally drawn in 1992[3] as a 64% black majority district stretching from Gastonia to Durham. It was very long and thin as it followed Interstate 85 almost exactly.[4][5] The Wall Street Journal called the district "political pornography" and Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor called the district's shape "bizarre" during the course of the eventual United States Supreme Court case involving the district, Shaw v. Reno. The district was thrown out as unconstitutional in 1996 and has been redrawn several times. Regardless of the district's configuration, Watt has had virtually no difficulty winning re-election in the always heavily Democratic district.
[edit] Ralph Nader incident

In 2004, Ralph Nader attended a meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus, where he alleges that Congressman Watt twice uttered an "obscene racial epithet" towards him. It was alleged that Watt said: "You're just another arrogant white man — telling us what we can do — it's all about your ego — another f--king arrogant white man." Although Nader wrote a letter to the Caucus and to Watt asking for an apology, none was offered.[6]

And as the article earlier noted his district is anchored by the Bank of America headquarters in Charlotte.

I'm not surprised. All policies enacted by government are aimed at gaining power or maintaining power. As far as enacting change within the government, the entire "audit the fed" movement has been a waste of time.

I am happy to see that many new people have been introduced to the horrors of centralized banking and the fed though.

Another thought just struck me. I think it's fantastic that several of you already contacted Glenn Beck. He supposedly has a few "deep throat" types in Congress who tip him off on the inside scoop so to speak. Maybe he can retrieve a valuable lead which we can follow? What was Watt's main motivation in gutting the bill aside from democratic pressure? If it was democratic pressure? Where did it come from? Fed NY? BIS? Barney Frank? Larry Summers? where does the trail lead? And if I decide to follow it, can you vouch for me when my body finally surfaces? (j/k but not really.)

as Paul has state before- we win either way.

Either we get the audit and we find out what they are doing- or they deny the audit and that proves that have something to hide.

It is now up to us to scream the news from our rooftops. Let our neighbors know.
Make it a rally cry.
As long as I am breathing- the battle for me isn't over.
