Probably because it can keep you from getting sick and thus deprive the drug companies from making money selling you their junk to cure what the vitamin would have prevented in the first place.
Looks as though a company found and patented a similar molecule before "B6" was ever marketed as a supplement(in the pyridoxine-complex form). This should be a copyright issue and not a case of drug classification. It's not as nefarious as it looks. Other forms of B6 should be completely unaffected.

That's retarded. You shouldn't be able to patent something that already exists.
B6 has also become one of the leading remedies for comforting the often painful symptoms of premenstrual syndrome.

Him being a nature boy about healing seems to me would make that quote more akin to his likely opinion not less. I say that as well because I am adverse to most conventional methods and self treat with herbs and so on.. and I despise the thought of gov't controlling our health and diet concerns.
