===>:::::Face the Nation Thread:::::<===

I'm not asking him to say "I will win" ... just want him to say "I can win". I think it would go a long way to getting people to at least say, "hey, I should learn more about this guy".

I'm not disagreeing with you, but by him saying there's more of a chance now than months ago, he's still not being negative or saying he can't win, he's just saying there's more of a chance now than before.

He understands being honest with yourself and being downright egotistical like Schmuckabee.

they guy has zero ego. how do you do that

Just as I have read history and learned that our founders were much greater men than myself... He has as well.

Simply put, Reading the words of our founders is very humbling. I think it effects the way folks think of themselves. And I know it has effected me for the better.:)

We can hire Huckabee to be the clown at Paul's inauguration.

Note: Yes, I know I shouldn't say this, but I can't help it. :)

HAHAHA!!!!

Perfect! :p

He would totally fit the part.

And hey! At least he's in better shape now than he used to be. Maybe he'll even be able to do some stunts! ;)

Couple mistakes -

1. Forgot Lyman's name
2. Did not clarify his "anti-medicare" stance
3. Did not affirmatively state that he will win.
4. Did not state the tea party fundraiser is Dec 16 though he did say boston tea party is the new gimmick.

Overall very positive.

1) who cares?
2) I totally agree with you 100%, especially with this audiance.
3) Ron's humbliness was appealing and honest. this is better than predicting a victory.
4) he hit a homerun by signaling to us that this is the 'unofficial- official' new big day! this will help us focus.

I think he did great. I'm not going to fret and I like it when he's humble. Humble foreign policy, humble campaign policy. Thank you CBS for having Congressman Paul on your program and thank you Congressman Paul for your service to this country and your willingness to carry the torch of freedom.

The intelligence, humbleness, honesty, integrity and conviction of beliefs are palatable when Dr. Paul speaks. How any citizen of this nation, with even a moderate knowledge of the concepts of individual liberty and limited government can’t see Dr. Paul as a reincarnation of the spirit of the founding Fathers confounds me?

Starting today anytime I want to waste money on a Starbucks coffee, a rag of a newspaper and going out to eat junk, will be put to a stop and every penny will be saved to donate on the 16th. Frugal living for Ron Paul, think twice in the coming weeks about if you really need a new piece of bling, how about renting a movie instead of going out…

I challenge all of you to make minimal personal sacrifices now for a brighter future!

Ron Paul is so friggin brilliant!!! I loved the entire interview!! From him, you just feel that he has such a big heart! Him being so humble just makes him even MORE BRILLIANT! :D

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm a little sad he was attacked and didn't get to clarify. Think this will turn people off? Did he do a good job countering the attack? :X

AMEN!!

Ron got WAY more time than Huckabee. Huck got like 6 minutes and the rest was all Ron Paul.

Wonder what that means? =)

I can't wait to see this again. Did anybody see Scheiffer's face when Ron Paul was explaining how the $4 million was raised? It was a look of shocked disbelief... almost like he couldn't comprehend how that was possible.

I like how Ron Paul ended it, with the "There's a risk I might win" line. After Leno, he got quite a bit of coverage just for that line, and it was even on at least of one of the news tickers.

I don't know why some of you do not see that being HUMBLE is the BEST way!

It is SO VERY unatracctive to be full of yourself like "ME ME ME and 9/11"

RON PAUL is perfect! Humble and confident at the same time. ;) :D :)

The Humility is great!

I love it when he says "There's a chance we could win"...

Nice balance of confidence and humility
...very appealing

I don't think he was attacked, and I don't think this interview will turn people off at all. He was just given a list of all the stuff Ron Paul is against (anti-war, anti-abortion, etc), and Ron countered with all the stuff he is for.
