Nothing is certain but change. Just as the Japanese went from producing cheap junk to being a world leader in the most demanding manufacturing, China is no longer just producing junk. I recently bought a Willsenton tube amp made in china and the thing is a work of art. But at the same time their quality is improving, their advantages are slipping. Their labor costs are going up and they are losing market share to other Asian countries like Vietnam and Thailand and also to Mexico. Additionally, manufacturing was already moving back to the USA due to Amazon's demand for overnight delivery that cannot be met by manufacturers that have to ship their product by sea. Factories are popping up around amazon distro centers just to service them. Another factor is the collapse of Chinese worker incentive. You can't get a straight story through the media, but young Chinese people are at the end of their rope - and in ever increasing numbers that is a literal description. China can no more continue its current path producing goods than the USA can continue to produce paper lies. Hard to say how it will all shake out, but tariffs are not going to restore the America once built by the now lost legacy of freedom and China is not going to rule the world by whipping its children to death.
