Ever since Ron went to the "Sweater Look" we been on a Surge.... Should he keep it?

Hell yea! The fierce power of the sweater is harnessed by Mr. B too!

he won't be able to wear a sweater during the debate. campaign needs to find a better tailor so his jacket fits right.

Just put on a regular suit, but also with a sweater. Can he do that?

It'll basically look like what he had on today, but with a tie (and a buttoned up dress shirt).

So now Santorum has his sweater vest, and we have our epic surging sweater.

LOVE the sweater look!! Makes him look larger, friendlier, and somehow twenty years younger too!

I might have to try that at work soon... not that I, personally, need to look any larger. Ahem.

Bump!

The sweaters are good. I think it's what the campaign should stick with.

I agree. I think the sweater under the blazer makes him look different, yet still Presidential. He doesn't look out of place standing next to someone with a standard suit and tie. I think it brings out his grandfatherly appeal.

I agree with many of the ideas expressed in this thread. The sweater look really works -- but I also think it should limited to meet-and-greets and all of the upcoming after-debate/post-primary victory speeches. For more formal occasions like debates, he should definitely stick with the suit and tie. However, by all means, the campaign really needs to get a good tailor to alter his jackets to get rid of the distracting gap behind his neck most of them seem to have. Also, I think it would do his general appearance a lot of good if he were to put on an additional five pounds or so. Nothing drastic, of course - just enough added weight to fill him out a little bit and give him a more substantial and robust visual impact. To this end, I would recommend he start chowing down on some good pasta dinners. ;)

Have you ever stood under TV lights? I can tell you it's like being a french fry. They are hot!

They should let him some new lightweight suits and get them tailored properly.
