Emergency Email From The Granny Warriors

Is the RV even worth that much? I don't get how they get people to buy their Ron Paul materials, buy their gas, and pay for expensive repairs on an old RV. I'm sure there are thousands of people that would follow Ron around if someone else paid for it, and in a vehicle that gets better gas mileage and doesn't require thousands of dollars in repair.

The monkey travels with them? I didn't know you can ride around the US with a monkey, I'm surprised they aren't legislating against that already. Where can I buy a monkey? :D

lol. this post has made me laugh.

I'm serious though.

$1,000 will pay for enough TV time to reach over 50,000 people in my area.

I saw the Granny Warriors at the Iowa Straw Poll. The monkey in the window is cute and all, but the money can certainly be better spent.

this constant call for more and more donations has been going on for some time and Paul supporters can get far more bang for their buck then continually paying for gas and repairs for an RV to travel across country.

If supporters wish to continue to fund a persons vacation, it's almost a free country and I won't stop them - only question the merits.

They are in VIRGINIA and I would imagine the cost to tow the RV to NH would far surpass any savings from getting the work done there.

ahh, sorry VA then.... listen if you know the year, make and model of the RV, the type of transmission, etc.... I'd be happy to spend my time calling up junk yards and engine/tranny importers to see if anyone has a suitable replacement.

I have a toyota supra and I've blown the tranny on that car about 5-6 times.... I found it's a lot cheaper to just replace with a used unit then pay someone to rebuild the whole thing :)

Tranny shops tend to be run by very dishonest people unfortunately. They'll fix one clutch or something and charge you for a complete rebuild. I just think they would waste $2-3k by letting AAMCO fix it, also it would probably take less time to just swap trannies if there is one close by.

I think its time to pack it in. Our money can go to much better causes then rebuilding an RV so someone can continue to travel around the country.
I hate to sound nasty as we are in a fix right now but...if you think it is fun traveling around the country you may try thinking again. I am barely ever home and I do have a home and family, I spend every waking moment thinking how to help get Ron Elected and how would the best way to get his name out to the public. This is not fun, it is work and I am too old to be trying to scam or fool anyone. I don't have time left for that mess. I simply want to make sure my grand kids have a country to live in and enjoy instead of just barely surviving. That was and is my goal.

I have spent my money, put in my time and energy which there is very little of, and done everything I can think of to do to make this happen. I know for a fact that we have made headway as everywhere we go now people recognize us and ask for more Ron Paul info and products which by the way we do sell and the profits all go back into this RV and the travel. I owe people a debt of gratitude for their generosity and also know they are not all brain dead and that they would not be helping me out if they didn't think I was doing a service that they cannot do themselves.

We have put over 100,000 miles on this RV in the past few months and it has not been easy miles. This RV has served us all well, carrying the load of material and people back and forth showing Ron's face to the world. How many people do you think see this RV and the signs every day while we are on the roads? Thousands believe me and now we have a continous horn blowing trail along every highway we are on. Hands stick out of the windows with a thumbs up or just a wave which means we are getting the word out.. Now how many people have you brought into the Ron Paul movement ? Don't even talk about me having a good time traveling around the country sightseeing.. I am not in the best frame of mind at this point and probably should not even be writing so I apologise if I have hurt anyones feelings but you have to realize I am not doing this for fame or fortune or just to be away from my husband but for every one that supports Dr. Paul. Thank You Linda ( granny warrior)

Wait they need money for a monkey? I mean, i love the granny warriors... but goddamn thats absurd lol. We need to properly channel our resources - if you dont send money to the campaign, send money to advertising projects at least. Maybe 5-10 bucks to granny warriors from ALOT of us (im going to send some right now), but dont send hundreds, especially if its something thats cool but not vital. They are definately valiant warriors, and i salute them, and maybe im wrong about what they actually want (just was reading posts on here), and i want to keep them out on the road. But we also need to not hurt ourselves too much unless its directly for the campaign. So if you have altitle extra to give, do it. Gotta at least get em to NH!

I laughed because you were speaking my mind.... I just didn't want to be the "bad guy" in these granny warrior threads  yup, money better spent... I do think they're cool, but shouldn't they be relying on their OWN organization?

If this is legit, I'll donate a couple hundred. What do people think about this request?
yes it is legit. the AAMCO repair shop is in Charlottesville Va. 1134 Emmett street. the phone number is: 434-296-7117, the owners name is Clark Wilson. If you have any doubts simply give him a call.

If you aren't having fun, then it is definitely time to pack it in.

Everthing you are doing can be done locally. Many of us are putting every bit of free time we have into Ron Paul's election efforts. We are putting all our free money into the election as well.

For $1,000 I can get 50,000 people to know Ron Paul's message, not just his name. At the cost of gas, you can't compete with that.

If you can't continue to do this with your own money and resources, you should call it quits.

Can the meet up of the town they are stuck in be contacted to see if they can get someone to find the most reasonable mechanic possible.

I agree. I already donated before. The Virginia & Maryland meetups should rally to find a sympathetic mechanic to help out.

havent the granny warriors been on the road for dr paul since like, january? i know thats when i found out about him, and i found out about the granny warriors right around then too. Hmm.. i actually kind of have nostalgia for the olden days where Ron Paul was little known, polling 1% or less, and the campaign was not at full speed like it is now. I'm not saying i want to go BACK to those days, not at all - i love the success! But those were good times nonetheless...

dont get me wrong, im all for the granny warriors, but i dont see the reason id give them money for not properly taking care of their RV. im too broke to be paying someone else's expenses.

Look, one of our own is in trouble. If you don't want to help them, fine, but I sure hope plenty of others see it differently.

Linda,

Did you post about this emergency on The Daily Paul? I think that might really help.
