This is an email message that I received from Ms. Donna Ivanovich. She is the state chair for the Constitution Party in Missouri. I was inquiring about the 9th District Congressional seat up for grabs in Missouri and about their candidates. Please read and forward to all concerned. I have her permission to put this in the forum.

My dear Michael,
I am sorry that you learned the hard way about the power and corruption in the Republican Party. They didn't used to be so bad. Unfortunately, they are the reason that the Constitution Party even exists and is growing so quickly.
The CP founder, Howard Phillips, was a Republican working in a Republican White House and President of the Conservative Caucus. The great majority of CP leaders and members are, like you, former, disgruntled Republicans.
It is, however, encouraging to hear from others who feel strongly enough about the future of our country to seek out the only political party in America that is committed to restoring constitutional limits to our nation.
Many CPers spent much of their time and money in Ron Paul's campaign to the detriment of the Constitution Party. One of our presidential candidates, Chuck Baldwin, was his biggest cheer leader writing weekly newsletters and talking about Dr. Paul on his radio program.
For months and months, I begged Ron Paul supporters to file for office on the CP ticket all over Missouri, including Kenny Hulshoff's district, with the idea it could be in name only, or they could withdraw their name later if they wanted to continue working inside the Republican Party for Dr. Paul. I explained that Ron Paul needed constitutionalists elected to every office to help him because the GOP will not raise a finger in his support. I begged them not to wait until the GOP convention was over because it would be too late. It was FREE to declare your candidacy. But, alas, only a few volunteered.
I am sorry, Michael, but Missouri submitted their list of candidates 2 weeks ago. It is too late to file for Hulshoff''s seat. That would have been a great race to run without an encumbent, and people are sick to death of republicans and democrats. One can win that race without even trying, and you didn't even have to live in the District to run.
Dr. Paul was invited to seek the CP presidential nomination, but he refused. Of course, like the ole saying goes, "it's not over til the fat lady sings". Well, he has 5 more days to change his mind and show up. That's all he has to do......show up!
However, it is NOT too late for you and other RPers to help us build this Party. If Dr. Paul wishes to stay in the Republican Party as a Congressman from Texas, then perhaps he will change his mind in 4 more years. With your help and the help of other RPers, we can do it. It's a lot of work, as you well know. We are up against the globalist/elites. Even professing Christian leaders are wringing their hands trying to justify their support of John McCain. Can you believe it!
I encourage you to attend the convention next week in Kansas City. You can attend on Saturday only for just $50/person. It will be well worth it to fellowship with like-minded patriots who refuse to compromise and vote for the lesser of 2 evils (because you still get evil, you know).
So far, only Dr. Alan Keyes and Chuck Baldwin will be seeking the presidential nomination. Either one would be far greater than the 2 we will be faced with in November.
It is our hope that you will decide to join ranks with us in this great task of restoring our Republic. Liberty is not only a blessing; it is a responsibility and a sacred trust. It is not only our right; it is our duty to remain free. The future of our children, grandchildren, and indeed the nation, depends on the commitment of concerned citizens like you.
With your help, we can bring a message of freedom, hope, and victory.
