Here's what I don't understand...so it's unethical to release it before the South Carolina primary. But if they release it after the South Carolina primary then they're releasing it right before the Florida primary. So what's the difference???

Only because of the "perception" of having bank accounts outside the USA is evil.

Sadly, a presidential candidate can not say, "Yes, I have a portion of my wealth outside the USA, because I have no faith that at some point the US Govt will not seize it or institute a wealth tax".

It is a no-no for politicians to advise US citizens to not be susceptible to asset seizure or lawsuits.

Most any good CPA/Financial Planner that is dealing with HNW will absolutely recommend diversifying country risk... It is not illegal.
