DRUDGE: NEWT'S EX UNLOADS -- NETWORK DEBATES ETHICS OF RELEASE.

Newsflash guys! Abc has never considered not airing it! They leaked the story so there's pressure on them publicly now, when it's a dirty interview they can claim they didn't want to air it but it was leaked

Good spot.

This is outrageous. Perhaps a more efficient route would be to attempt contact with Marianne. How tho... how? Unless they have some kind of exclusivity contract with her...

We don't want to get anywhere near it if it is nasty. Let it come out from ABC.

if the lady has something to say, she can say it.
Why does she need to wait for ABC to air her interview?

I don't think there is anything there.

Exactly. Surely some other "networks" will grab onto this--but then maybe not--maybe they are all in bed together with the same boss. She can go to anyone and offer an interview....if ABC will wait, then she needs to go to someone else that will expose it today.

Yes it is, but how did you stumble on that?
I just played around with the Url and thought they might use the same format for other breaking news. I honestly have no idea what it means.
Do you? It kind of reminds me of the seven dwarves. I am still in wtf mode.

Gingrich canceled a press conference on Wednesday to deal with the matter.

"He believes that what he says in public and how he lives don't have to be connected," Marianne Gingrich, Newt's wife of 18 years, explained to ESQUIRE last year. "When you try and change your history too much, and try and recolor it because you don't like the way it was or you want it to be different to prove something new ... you lose touch with who you really are."

Then whats with all this ethics talk? Wouldnt that cast a negative light on them? Would they really want to stage that?

when I hit drudge first time on flash it said something about 10$ million kick back on an arms deal ... did anyone see that ... ? newt fixed a deal

Hopefully someone will offer her a shitload of money so they can air the interview in the next day or so on a competitive network

It may have nothing to do with ethics. They may have just some garbage that ends up being nothing, and are holding on to it, so the Newter gets some negative press before the primary. i.e., they want Romney to win.

We'll see I guess.

They can claim they debated it and found it unethical to air and but for a leak they would have kept it quiet.

That's what I'm thinking. Some other network is going to spoil the ABC exclusive.

ding ding ding ding

We all knew that this was going to come out eventually so why are they waiting to release this? A journalists job is to find a story, get all the details including evidence and witnesses on record, THEN report the damn story... Screw timing THE FACT THEY ARE HAVING THIS INTERNAL CONVERSATION IS PROOF OF HOW NON-JOURNALISTIC THEY REALLY ARE, PROOF THEY ARE IN FACT VERY POLITICALLY INVOLVED. Otherwise they'd just release it, if it's the truth and they didn't try to compensate her for this then it's more than legitimate!

Airing this Monday is the best possible outcome for us. We want Gingrich to win South Carolina over Romney. It is the only chance to derail Romney.

$10 million arms deal would certainly seal the deal. i'd be more than happy to see Newt go down for that.

Maybe it was written into the divorce decree that she could never discuss this? Then it would be unethical because it would be violation of a court order?
