This is a great moment for all the delegates that worked so hard to get to the State Convention. The Texas state party platform fits well with Dr. Paul's views, (excluding the support of Bush and the War in Iraq)......he should be well received, with the excecption of the hard core neo-cons.

I see you are from Houston. Why not volunteer at the convention? No reason for you to miss out on it.

I have my National Guard drill that weekend otherwise I would. I was hoping to let people crash at my pad that weekend, but once again the Army foiled my plans.

How we can double our presence!

Each delegate and alternate can take a guest to the convention. Guests cost $25 and can participate in all of the convention activities except voting. They must arrive with a delegate to register as a guest & can then attend the entire convention! Volunteering is a great way to get in, too. Delegates will be busy & alternates might also get in on some of the action. We need more RP supporters to take advantage of these opportunities to be a part of the convention - you can talk to delegates, give them literature / slimjims, etc.

Dr. Paul is having a rally on Thursday night at the Hilton, but I have yet to see confirmation of him speaking at the convention itself. I am a delegate and I have received notices that Newt Gingrich will be speaking at the convention itself and that Mitt Romney will be the speaker at the $75pp banquet on Friday night. No McCain either, as far as I can tell - I don't think he's made it to a state convention yet!
