Donald Trump to Father of Fallen Soldier: 'I’ve Made a Lot of Sacrifices'

Uhhh...... Judge Napolitano said that according to the 911 accounts, NO ONE was shot until the police showed up- Orlando was probably a set up- and the dude was not an active Muslim.

So, back on the subject of an American Muslim soldier dying for his country........?

But they said he called 9/11 saying the attacks was done in the name of ISIS. But only transcripts of the call was released and no voice call. Ofc if our leaders say it was radical islam, it must be true

There's a lot of emotion and little substance regarding the OP and the one response to my thoughts on the matter, but I think it wise to answer everything Ender said point by point in order to underscore this fact.

I find the replies on this thread pretty disgusting. What if it were YOUR son/brother/BFF?

You didn't answer my question, and frankly I couldn't care less what you find disgusting. Even if I accepted the "works righteousness/Pelagian" premise that all one needed to do in order to be a "good person" was to follow natural law, what this "American Muslim" did, namely going overseas and killing people who follow the same religion as him, doesn't pass the smell test. Now, as to your question:

1. If it was my son, he would have been threatened with both being completely disowned and excommunicated had he ever come to me or anybody else in my church with the brilliant notion of serving the American Empire militarily, be it because of 9/11 or 7 eleven or whatever excuse for such foolhardiness. Part of being a parent is actually looking out for the well-being of your children, and feeding them to the secular war machine doesn't qualify.

2. If it was my brother or BFF, I'd be ashamed of him. If somebody said something slanderous about him after he'd died unrelated to his military service, that would be a different matter, but I'm not in the business of getting offended because somebody doesn't care that my brother either knowingly or unknowingly threw his life away.

Now, this isn't to say that I wouldn't be upset over losing any of them, family ties and friendship are what they are, but you can bet I wouldn't be making myself the patsy of Leviathan in the name of defending the indefensible.

Yes, I believe the wars have been unnecessary and mostly caused by the elites to fatten their pocketbooks- however, most Americans don't know this and feel they were fighting for something important, like freedom. Many have given their lives in war because they thought they were doing something noble and good for their families and their nation.

So ignorance is an excuse for evil? Where I come from, ignorance is a cause of evil, not something that justifies or excuses it. Something more worthy of fighting for would be freeing people from such ignorance, not excusing it. Lots of truly terrible things have been done throughout history out of good intentions. The issue isn't what is necessary, the issue is what is just.

All Trump, or anyone here, would have to do is just thank the family for their son's service and sacrifice. Period. What they believe to be true is not important- what IS important is that they lost a family member serving the nation they have an allegiance to.

America is not a nation. Nations have a common culture and a common creed, America has neither of these and hasn't since the U.S. Constitution was ratified. And I see no reason to thank someone for committing to a military adventure that will put me at risk every time I either visit a major city or travel abroad. It is a tragedy that anyone has to lose a family member that way, but it is a true act of hatred to allow the ignorance that led to this to prevail.

And, then of course, to belittle this sacrifice because the man was a Muslim is way beyond my tolerance.

Your tolerance or anyone else's doesn't really factor into my assessment of this situation. At the very least, if this boy felt the need to prove himself loyal because of his Islamic persuasion, that's a strike against him being a Muslim if we examine the result. Do keep in mind that I'm not the one making excuses for a person who went overseas to make war with Muslim countries, nor would I ever endorse this practice save if an Islamic country was being militarily aggressive against a Christian nation.

We reap what we sow.

Apply this cliche to the poor little innocent Muslim who got himself killed for the sake of the Empire, the inconsistency implied in how you are using it is extremely off-putting.

Trump lost hundreds of friends in 911 because of Muslim travellers, Dubya & Clinton. He's right to be pissed. They were sacrificed.

Ghazala Khan: Trump criticized my silence. He knows nothing about true sacrifice
By Ghazala Khan July 31 at 9:45 AM

Ghazala Khan’s son, U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, was killed in Iraq in 2004.

CHARLOTTESVILLE

Donald Trump has asked why I did not speak at the Democratic convention. He said he would like to hear from me. Here is my answer to Donald Trump: Because without saying a thing, all the world, all America, felt my pain. I am a Gold Star mother. Whoever saw me felt me in their heart.

Donald Trump said I had nothing to say. I do. My son Humayun Khan, an Army captain, died 12 years ago in Iraq. He loved America, where we moved when he was 2 years old. He had volunteered to help his country, signing up for the ROTC at the University of Virginia. This was before the attack of Sept. 11, 2001. He didn’t have to do this, but he wanted to.

When Humayun was sent to Iraq, my husband and I worried about his safety. I had already been through one war, in Pakistan in 1965, when I was just a high school student. So I was very scared. You can sacrifice yourself, but you cannot take it that your kids will do this.

We asked if there was some way he could not go, because he had already done his service. He said it was his duty. I cannot forget when he was going to the plane, and he looked back at me. He was happy, and giving me strength: “Don’t worry, Mom. Everything will be all right.”

The last time I spoke to my son was on Mother’s Day 2004. We had asked him to call us collect whenever he could. I begged him to be safe. I asked him to stay back, and not to go running around trying to become a hero, because I knew he would do something like that.

He said, “Mom, these are my soldiers, these are my people. I have to take care of them.” He was killed by a car bomber outside the gates of his base. He died trying to save his soldiers and innocent civilians.

That is my son. Humayun was always dependable. If I was vacuuming the house and he was home, he would take the vacuum from my hand and clean the house. He volunteered to teach disabled children in the hospital how to swim. He said, “I love when they have a little bit of progress and their faces, they light up. At least they are that much happy.” He wanted to be a lawyer, like his father, to help people.

Humayun is my middle son, and the others are doing so well, but every day I feel the pain of his loss. It has been 12 years, but you know hearts of pain can never heal as long as we live. Just talking about it is hard for me all the time. Every day, whenever I pray, I have to pray for him, and I cry. The place that emptied will always be empty.

I cannot walk into a room with pictures of Humayun. For all these years, I haven’t been able to clean the closet where his things are — I had to ask my daughter-in-law to do it. Walking onto the convention stage, with a huge picture of my son behind me, I could hardly control myself. What mother could? Donald Trump has children whom he loves. Does he really need to wonder why I did not speak?

Donald Trump said that maybe I wasn’t allowed to say anything. That is not true. My husband asked me if I wanted to speak, but I told him I could not. My religion teaches me that all human beings are equal in God’s eyes. Husband and wife are part of each other; you should love and respect each other so you can take care of the family.

When Donald Trump is talking about Islam, he is ignorant. If he studied the real Islam and Koran, all the ideas he gets from terrorists would change, because terrorism is a different religion.

Donald Trump said he has made a lot of sacrifices. He doesn’t know what the word sacrifice means.

It is unfortunate that he became a pawn of political machinery of war monger like SWC Hillary. Hillary probably cares about lives of US troops waging wars in Iraq as much as she cared for well being of kids she referred to as "superpredators". She has had significant roles in both Military Industrial Complex and Prison Industrial Complex of the US.

There is similarity in tone of messages used by SWC Hillary and his surrogate, won't be surprised if turned out that Hillary or her staff are coaching his words:

Why Did It Take an Activist to Bring ‘Superpredators’ Into the Campaign?

By Jim Naureckas
Hillary Clinton in 1996: “They are often the kinds of kids that are called ‘superpredators.’… We have to bring them to heel.” (C-SPAN, 1/28/96)

The fact that it took Black Lives Matter activist Ashley Williams to bring “superpredators” into 2016 presidential campaign coverage (AlterNet, 2/24/16) truly demonstrates the malfeasance of the corporate press.

At a private fundraiser in Charleston, South Carolina, on February 24, Williams confronted Hillary Clinton about a January 25, 1996, speech she gave at New Hampshire’s Keene State College, in which she said (Buzzfeed, 5/8/15):
We also have to have an organized effort against gangs…. They are not just gangs of kids anymore. They are often the kinds of kids that are called superpredators. No conscience, no empathy. We can talk about why they ended up that way, but first we have to bring them to heel, and the president has asked the FBI to launch a very concerted effort against gangs everywhere.

I know of a few, personally, who came to the US to go to school, dressed accordingly in Western attire and hated it. Said they never felt like they were treated like a human being- that only their looks, as a woman, mattered.

I have no opinion on this- just passing it on.

Hillary is a grade A hypocrite, she seems quite frustrated now that her old tricks have been rendered useless/being used against her by a clever businessman with experience in buying politicians like her:

Barack Obama's campaign team today accused Hillary Clinton's beleaguered staff of mounting a desperate dirty tricks operation by circulating a picture of him in African dress, feeding into false claims on US websites that he is a Muslim.
Obama's campaign manager, David Plouffe, described it as "the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we've seen from either party in this election". Obama has had to spend much of the campaign stressing he is a Christian not a Muslim and did not study at a madrassa.

Yeah, you guys really got him this time. This won't fade away after two days like the other 1 million things that were supposed to sink Trump for good

Yea, some of us thought that him being a sociopath with a low double digit IQ would do it.

...but we overestimated the audience.

Old Mencken gets the last laugh.

All this anti trump hater outrage is getting so boring. Same thing in every anti trump thread. I can guess what is going to be said in every thread before I even read it.

Hillary helped get their son killed by starting the war, and this guy exploits his death to shill for Hill. I am tired of acting like they have some unshakeable moral high ground in all this just because their son died a war hero (and yes, it can be argued he did).

It's also very curious that you can find next to nothing about this family in Google search before the DNC. Not even an obituary or anything. Not saying it's fake or anything crazy like that, but someone clearly went out of their way to clean up the Khan's web footprint before they decided to use him as a prop against Trump.

March 18, 2018, a little into Hillary's second year. Clashes between Russian and US special forces in Syria and Iraq have escalated into open warfare. Putin demands an immediate cease fire, or the nearest US ships in the Mediterranean are going to feel the sting. The world is closer to thermonuclear war than ever before.

Trump makes a tweet at 2 AM, just after the first ships and submarines clash. "God have mercy on us all! If only I had beaten Crooked Hillary and hit Isis WITH Putin!"

Anti-Trumpets log onto RPF to post President Clinton's declaration of crisis, which also calls for Trump's arrest and imprisonment for foreign collusion with the Russian enemy. It's the last shitpost we ever read before an ominous siren sounds in the distance.

They certainly don't have some moral high ground, but Trump's response in the interview from just a political standpoint, was stupid. Some in this forum seem to have a need to believe he can't do/say politically stupid things.

Yep, you got it, ignorance is NO EXCUSE. Would you like me to say it again so it'll sink in between the jagged edges of your self-righteous sarcasm?

I was subjected to 12 years of public schooling, and when the military recruiters came calling, they got my favorite word in the English language, namely "No". This is a word that is available to any individual person living in America, the military draft has been out of use for several decades. Interestingly enough, at the time I was old enough to be duped into voluntary military service I was an atheist who simply didn't feel like getting myself killed, so my motives were perhaps not as lofty and altruistic as you would prefer, but any blood on my hands is entirely proverbial and due to my submission to American tax laws, and even that is inexcusable.

Nevertheless, all of this time that you are spending feeling magnanimous for your toleration of people of other faiths sending their children into the meat-grinder, could be better spent warning people about these government camps. The American Flag has become like a statue of Moloch, and the parents of this dead kid have the gall to go around boasting of their sacrifice as though it gives them special favor with God. If you want disgusting, tear your modern eyes out of their sockets, replace them with new eyes that look deeper than the veil of contemporary American sentimentalism, and look at what the Khan family is actually saying.

So, who's responsible for the wars we are currently in? The wars that are killing 1000's of people in the ME, as well as Americans?
