Donald Trump to Father of Fallen Soldier: 'I’ve Made a Lot of Sacrifices'

So this Khzir Khan guy raised his son in a false religion and essentially doomed him to perdition, and then compounded the sin by blessing his son in going overseas to kill more people who believe in the same false religion, taking more people to hell than just himself.

Why is this something to be proud of again?

I find the replies on this thread pretty disgusting. What if it were YOUR son/brother/BFF?

Yes, I believe the wars have been unnecessary and mostly caused by the elites to fatten their pocketbooks- however, most Americans don't know this and feel they were fighting for something important, like freedom. Many have given their lives in war because they thought they were doing something noble and good for their families and their nation.

All Trump, or anyone here, would have to do is just thank the family for their son's service and sacrifice. Period. What they believe to be true is not important- what IS important is that they lost a family member serving the nation they have an allegiance to.

And, then of course, to belittle this sacrifice because the man was a Muslim is way beyond my tolerance.

We reap what we sow.

maybe he feels guilty for encouraging his son to join the military. Trump pays the salaries of many soldiers, and pays for their weapons.

But Trump doesn't believe that nor did he say it. Also, the wife being silent isn't about religion, as he implied. He's anti Islam and he keeps showing it.

Bull. He's against bringing in more inadequately vetted "refugees" to our country. For some reason, Trump doesn't want what is happening in Germany and France to happen here.

That's just terrible, isn't it?

I doubt Trump cares either way. His anti-Muslim rhetoric comes from:

Trump on Muslim at DNC: I'd like to 'hear his wife say something' http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/t...o-hear-his-wife-say-something/article/2598221

Donald Trump responded to an appearance by a Muslim lawyer at the Democratic convention by saying he "would like to hear his wife say something."

One of the highlights of the Democratic convention in Philadelphia was a speech by Muslim lawyer Khizr Khan, who was accompanied by his wife Ghazala, about their son, a Marine who died in Iraq back in 2004. Khan at one point held up a pocket-sized version of the Constitution and asked if Trump ever read it.

"I'd liked to hear his wife say something," Trump said in an interview with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd.

Trump elaborated on Khan's comments during an excerpt of an interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC's This Week that will air Sunday.

"Maybe she wasn't allowed to have anything to say, you tell me," he said.

Ghazala Khan did speak Friday, after the convention, during an interview with Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC.

When pressed by Stephanopoulos about Khan's statement that Trump has sacrificed nothing, Trump asked if Hillary's speechwriters wrote that line.

He then said that he has employed thousands of people. "I think those are sacrifices," he said.

Trump's has previously said he wanted to temporarily ban all Muslims who are not citizens from immigrating into the U.S. due to terrorism concerns, but he changed it to a ban on immigration from countries that breed terrorism.

Interestingly, and perhaps with some irony, Trump used the same phrase when asked about Bernie Sanders.

"I think he wanted to go home and sleep. I'd like to hear his wife say something," Trump said.

Sanders' wife Jane has appeared on TV several times during the primary campaign. She recently told CNN she couldn't explain why die-hard supporters of her husband's campaign won't unify behind Clinton to defeat Trump.

Few people release records during an audit. You know that, but still you keep posting your propaganda.

CPU is desperate.

It's not my propaganda, but it's interesting you would post that. And Trump won't even release returns from years that aren't being audited. Instead they do this:

I don't think Trump hates Muslims or Mexicans, he is just being practical in taking more burdens. and most lo skilled Mexicans will be a burden. food stamps, medicaid, medicare

Will Hillary release her Wall street speeches?

He doesn't recognize US intervention in the Middle East for causing either that or blowback in the West, and his solutions are more intervention (even if Hillary's are at least as bad)

His favorite General who spoke at the Republican Convention, who's book Trump "highly recommends" above, says the following in that book:
• We have to organize all our national power, from military and economic to intelligence and tough-minded diplomacy. It's not cheap, and it's probably going to last through several generations.

• They must be denied safe havens, and countries that shelter the have to be issued a brutal choice: either eliminate the Radical Islamists or you risk direct attack yourselves. Yes, there will be some foreign countries that can't defeat their indigenous Islamists, even though they want to, and they'll need help. They shouldn't be punished twice—first by the Islamists, then by us and our allies—and we should welcome them to our ranks.

• We've got to attack the Islamists everywhere and in every way. That most certainly includes attacking their evil doctrines and detailing their many failures. Are we not fully entitled to tell the truth about them? In the Cold War, we repeatedly exposed the failures of Communism. Why shouldn't we do the same with al Qaeda and ISIS?

The world badly needs an Islamic Reformation, and we should not be surprised if violence is involved. It's normal. The important thing is to defeat the Islamists, and we must make it clear why they have declared and waged war against us, and why we reject their doctrines.

Trump claims he is a big supporter of Israel, would he send his son to go make sacrifices for our closest ally and help start a war with Iraq/Iran to defend our way of life and oil industry? Or he will be too busy building big beautiful towers inside America only?
At least SWCs Bush and DGP sent American kids to harm's way in Iraq to spread freedoms there for brown Arabs and Palestinian peoples and were not political slaves of money baggers.
Can Trump with his neocon attacking insults fit in Bush/Obama's big freedom spreader shoes and order American sons sacrifices in mideast like them?

Let's wait for the debates to sort this out since SWC Hillary also voted for Iraq war. There is rumor that neocons are very scared of Trump-Hillary debate now. Hillary and her family has done amazing sacrificial work on issues like gay weddings freedoms inside America but they like Trump dropped the ball when it came to making actual scarifices for freedom bloodbath in Iraq.

That's not the topic of this thread.

The topic is: Trump insulted a family whose son gave his life in one of America's aggressive wars. If it was your son, would you immediately jump to your favorite pony show of illegals, or would you perhaps feel some pain and sorrow for a family member that gave his all for his country, but wasn't enough for Trump and his ilk?

All Trump had to do was express sorrow for their loss. He didn't have to condone the wars or go on a tangent because they were Muslim.

That ONE thing would have softened a few hearts around him and brought many questioning voters closer to him. Instead he chose to compare himself to army veterans, who have given life and limb, and suffer from PTSD, and how HE, the poor Donald, had also sacrificed, and then, on top of that, be divisive because their religion.

I am with Trump on this one.

edit: Anti Trump haters are like rabid dogs. They try to bite at everything. It is really obvious and bad. At this point I ignore all of this.
