Does Ron want us to leave the GOP?

Not nationally... those candidates are small potatoes compared with running for POTUS.

What do you call U.S. Congressmen?

So, to you, everything but the presidency is worthless? Oh, come on. That's ridiculous.

Exactly. Say Ron would have won this year, does anyone really think Congress would have let him have free reign? Ironically, he would have had to rule via Executive Orders since I doubt Congress would allow anything through.

I think off the record he'd want us to engage in peaceful civil disobedience and not go along to get along. I dunno... just judging by the anarchist types he's around and references when he talks about his influences with books and historical figures and stuff. After he's officially retired i'd like to see him come out on tv interviews and stuff pushing the ideas of voluntaryism on a wide national stage and getting that message across. So then the hopes of the mises people might have a chance to get on bigger news channels to spread the ideas as well (walter block, Tom Woods, Stefan Molyneux, Lew Rockwell, and others). Just my 2 cents.

+100

He wants us to do what we want. He has himself put together a great wedge into the GOP, however, and will be pleased, I expect, if we exploit it.

Ron wouldn't do that. He'd UNDO executive orders, however.

What if he pardoned all tax evaders?

He wouldn't. But that would be awesome.

I'm all for the restore the GOP approach but for those that don't roll that way, please don't stop advocating for liberty in whatever way one chooses to be active. I'm coming around to the big tent approach so long as the relentless attacking of Ron's "We are the future" of the GOP plan ceases.

He wouldn't order all of the troops home and use Executive Orders to demand the DOJ stop jailing non-violent criminals?

You said RULE by executive order. I think def the first, that is what EOs were created for, troop movements, that sort of thing. I am not sure of the precise mechanism he would use for the second, though.

Free market of ideas. The most successful ones tend to catch on, over time.

I think she was referring to the money it would take for a presidential campaign as opposed to a congressional campaign. And I am only answering on her behalf because she's in New Orleans without power and only sporadic cell phone function at the moment. She can correct me if I am making an incorrect assumption.

YOU come on! Geez, it takes MUCH more money to run a presidential campaign than one confined to a congressional district!
