This happened to a neighbor of mine. They would never have aborted no matter what, but they were told the same, and their (only) son was born perfectly healthy.

This happened to me with my first born. I refused and went to term and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. I made sure to bring my son to the doctor who advised me to abort my healthy happy son. In retrospect, I should have sued him for malpractice.

Can you imagine how many women do have the abortion?

It was extremely stressful but I knew that this doctor was wrong. The thing was he was the head of OB/GYN of this particular hospital and at the time, was the only hospital group that took my insurance. Needless to say I got a second opinion (paid out of pocket) and the doctor was scratching his head, after all the tests results came in he couldn't quite figure what the first doctor was even talking about. The second Dr. told me the stress alone could have caused harm to my son--I had to wait a month to get more tests done.

WTF is wrong with you? Ron and Rand are doctors, my cousin was an incredible pediatric ear doctor who took care of children for free. I've had great and terrible doctors.

Many of us would be dead without a decent doctor.

Then you worded your post just as badly as I did, if not moreso. I was saying they should be executed because they suggested that a woman murder her child. Your mentioning Ron and Rand (Who have never advocated that any woman murder her child) led me to believe that I meant all doctors in general.

That said, I'd settle for them losing their jobs.

So.... are these doctors ever right? Do they occassionally predict with accuracy that a child will be born brain damaged? Then when the parents refuse to abort, they condescendingly wave the charts in their face and say "I told you so.".

Are Dr.'s not entitled to free speech?

A sane and logical person will take such "advice" as just that and give it all the weight any other opinion would get.

A moral person would probably stop using said Dr. and spread the word about the type of "advice" dispensed..

Seriously though, I was never intending to say that all doctors should be executed. But I understand where you got that from my poorly worded post. My apologies.
