Do you plan to write in Ron Paul?

Nope. Voted Paul in primary, will vote Johnson\Gray in general election

Gary Johnson isn't on the ballot in Michigan, but I think he filed as a write-in. Virgil Goode is on the ballot, but he hasn't done anything that makes me want to reward him with a vote. I'll write-in someone else.

Won't be voting at all -- Johnson is okay, but I'm not wasting my money on gas to go vote for a candidate who can't get into the debates, and you cannot win a US Presidential election unless you get into the debates. Just ask Ross Perot.

Yes, I'm writing in Ron Paul. Votes are NOT discarded where they are not counted for a specific candidate, however, they are tracked as 'none of the above' 'undervote' everywhere. If you would rather vote for someone on the ballot than count as one of the none of the above vote, that is one thing, but to say they are simply discarded isn't correct, even when they don't tally them up for 'Ron Paul'.

I would write him in even if we can't make him an official write in candidate, and I'm pretty confident we will complete that process, in CA. Because for me a vote for none of the above, while taking the trouble to vote so they can't spin it as apathy, better says how I feel than a vote for any of the candidates I DON'T want, who are on the ballot.

Also, one of our people who can edit wiki should edit this to say Ron is already an official write in candidate in Maine, and the process is underway in CA and likely other states, and that he can be written in in states that allow write ins, generally, such as Iowa, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, etc.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_third_party_and_independent_presidential_candidates,_2012

After seeing Romney's sickly sweet smile during the debate last night with his soul-mate and big government twin Obama, I am for sure voting for Ron Paul by writing his name on the ballot.

That right there

I've said from the start I would write him in. We said NOBP and we should stick to it.

However I recently found out I can't write Ron in in my state so either I need to just go in with a Sharpie and say screw it they're going to throw it out regardless or just suck it up and vote for Gary Johnson even though every fiber of my being says it's a bad idea.

they count 'undervote' (none of the above) everywhere, even on electronic machines with NO write in place (only a couple of states) you can leave it blank for the same impact. As long as you vote on other things, it shows none of the above.

I think this is how it will be for me here in SC. We have the electronic machine with no write-in options. To be honest, I have never considered "none of the above" when voting...

Sailing, that's interesting in getting a "none of the above" result by leaving that race blank? Is that an across the board rule for all electronic machines, or do you think it could be different by state?
