Do we have any Muslims here?

There used to be a few. I would enjoy debating with them about the Jesus, the inspiration of the Scriptures, and the Trinity. Atheists and Muslims use the same arguments many times, so it is interesting.

Did you chase them away, for liberty?

I think that when Islam is exposed for what it truly is, it exposes the statist nature of it. Islam is a mosque-state system that imposes religious law by force of arms. Every day, right now, in Muslim countries, Christians are executed, homosexuals are executed, etc.

Ya but you can use the bible to say the same stuff, plenty of Christians use the bible to justify big government. They may have the wrong interpretation, but you might have the wrong interpretation of Islam, too.

Who cares? They do so in derogation of Christianity. State-worship is idolatry.

Do you know what Sharia is?

On this one, I am actually in total agreement with Sola. Islam has its own political, legal, and financial system. It is not just a religion,.... it is far beyond that. There are some Muslims though who do see the danger in political Islam though, Assad just happens to be one of those, go figure. He has said some very interesting things on political Islam.

Christianity has been entwined with government since Constantine. For most of it's history, one couldn't rule without the approval of the Church. Even today, the president swears his oath of office on the Bible. We even derive our authority for self-rule from "God". Apparently, the supernatural is a vital ingredient in oppressing one's fellow man. Truly, the opiate of the people.

Just curious, but what would be your reaction (And I mean your actual reaction, as in how would you actually react, not just how would you feel on here) if you knew that they had kids pledge the flag in your church's children's ministry? How would you react if you heard someone pray for our troops because they are fighting for our freedoms?

But... but destroying Assad creates more terrorists, which obviously helps the slave masters, so why should we question it?

For our freedoms, of course:rolleyes:

(Rolling my eyes at the people who actually believe this, not you.)

The Bible says no usury, Islam says no usury.. are both political in that sense?

I see Sharia as more of a set of rules people voluntarily choose to participate in.

The Bible should also be a set of rules people voluntarily choose to participate in. Yet we have the drug war and laws against homosexual marriage. Those are Christian based laws.

First, you are not distinguishing between Biblical Christianity, which is anti-state, and Roman Catholicism, which is collectivistic and promotes world government.

Secondly, what kind of drugs do you have to be doing to not see that NONE of the most brutal dictatorships in history ever "put their hand on a Bible". Mao, Stalin, etc. All atheistic regimes to the core. That's YOUR legacy, you own it.

At least the Catholics are praying against war in Syria for the most part. Dispensationalists are leading the charge...

You KNOW I'm no big fan of the RCC, but Protestants as a group are not innocent either.

"Protestants"? You mean liberal dispenstaional warmongers who believe in free will and universal atonement and deny justification by faith alone? They might as well be Roman Catholics.

If you think that Sharia is voluntary, how about asking the girls in Afghanistan that aren't allowed to go to school, and forced into marriage at 9 years old. How about asking the women in Saudi if they would like to be able to drive, or leave the house unsupervised. To say that it is voluntary is crazy! Ask the guy in Egypt who lost his head last week because he couldn't pay the jizya tax that he Muslim brotherhood occupiers of his village had forced on him. Voluntary? For real?

Following the Bible is voluntary. And as far as the drug war goes, my bible says that all plants were made by God and are good!

So, no, you have not. Perhaps you should, and see what lovely, hospitable people they are. Or, you could just buy into the media that lies to you about everything else.

Is it just "media lies" that Christians are executed?
