DJIA Tommorow

No CASH ... It's ALL TRASH!

Down 500 WooooooooooHoooooooooooo

McCain and Palin offer Miss Teen South Carolina to take over BAILOUT negoiations!

Why not have the PPT initiate a mini crash of say, 1000 pts, to scare the legislators into passing it over the weekend or on Monday?

This administration has led by fear, and that would only be a continuation of that policy.

Why do you think they announced a buyout by JPMorgan of WaMu on a Thursday instead of waiting until their typical Friday?

It's to push a resolution. I wouldn't be surprised if stocks tank on the after-hour news that's come out. Futures indicate it, and Asia is supporting the drop.

How it will end? Anybody's guess...

Not well in any case. It's the credit squeeze that really matters, not the DJIA day to day. Up or down, if banks don't lend, our economy goes kaput.

Down 300, and McBama will suddenly find himself much less excited about the prospect of becoming president.

I will go with a short drop of say 100 by the end of the day. WaMu being taken care of without having to be bailed out will be a good sign (although share holders were wiped out). That could push financials a bit lower. The rest are all waiting on a vote on the so-called bailout package and I don't expect anything to be final on that on Friday. I am thinking a "wait and see" day.

today down at least 575. its the last friday and the last day for trades to settle for the quarter. Not to mention bad news and uncertainty, as well as financial short rule expiring soon.

The financial markets should be left alone and allowed to correct themselves - no government bailout. We need short time pain for long term gain, otherwise we will have a long term disaster. The patient is brain dead; pull the plug and let it die a natural death.
