Well, I am sorry. I think it is really bad when the State of Wisconsin can only give my family $16 for food per month. And my father has been without a job since January. Before he was let go, he had a good job for almost four years and I did not need to ask for this kind of help before.
I am sorry about your family's situation. I understand that you're still a kid (10th grade is a kid in my opinion, no offense intended). So I'll give you some unsolicited advice keeping that in mind.
Whatever bad things have happened to your family, you have to get out of this victimhood thinking. The only people who will ultimately do what's in the interest of you and your parents are you and your parents. If you worry about blaming your miseries on the taxpayers of Wisconsin or anyone else, you'll forever be waiting for someone to fix things. Stop waiting and start doing. And don't say to yourself, "I can't." Say to yourself, "How can I?" Don't give up until you succeed.
Start learning how to be content with what little you have, and how to be self-sufficient and make the most of it. Look for ways to do things cheaply, and look for ways to make a buck so you can do them. Also, be patient. Don't insist on living like you're wealthier than you are. Save money, work hard, and look forward to the day when you can live like someone with more because you actually will be that person.
Here's an idea to get you started. You can make Campaign for Liberty T-Shirts for you and your whole family for just $10 if you buy iron on decals here, rather than getting the expensive stuff at the CFL store:
