I hope that's not an honest representative of people in south carolina. It would truly be sad to see south carolineans supporting more welfare and warfare however it appears to be the case there are more socialists and deluded warfarists in this country than you think. We RP people are what's left.

There's no way they are going to slow this decline down much less stop it. I suggest if you are younger to know a trade or profession that can be used in a different country and save your money, get ready for a long slide. Diversify by investing in products that are essentially counter to the dollar.

Remember, there are supporters of all the candidates in these crowds. So the people booing Ron Paul were not very likely the same ones who cheered him. But I think a lot of people would feel, as Ari Fleisher seems to have, that the golden rule is a naive principle to apply in foreign policy. In some circumstances that may be true. But our current situation is so distorted by the war on terror propaganda, that many people see our foreign situation as far more dire than it actually is.

Notice, however, that while virtually all of the candidates disagreed with Ron Paul's foreign policy positions in the debate, no one attacked Paul directly on it. The last person to do that was Michelle Bachmann. They know they're going to need Ron Paul supporters in November.

I have pretty much given up on winning the revolution through a media crafted election. The revolution will be one based on ideas and people messaging those ideas to others. It will not be done in 2 hour increments with commercial breaks in between. As long as we are getting friends, family, coworkers, etc on board, I think we are doing pretty good. Remember, our country has been on a continual exponential downhill slide since 1913. It will not change overnight and it will be an uphill battle.

Ron doesn't do the best at answering Foreign Policy question and that is where the President has most power. If Ron was only stronger on that issue, he would be doing much better with seniors and mainstream gopers. Sad.

It's ironic, your words there. It is obvious we live in a quasi-communist country, where the media and corrupt government run the elections.

What you said about being based on ideas though, was exactly how Khomeini was able to get his people to rise up in Iran after 26 years. After being thrown out and banished, he made tapes, recordings, spoke secretly with disillusioned insiders, and was very patient. Soon enough, his people HAD ENOUGH and that was that. Took 26 years. May take us even longer. He may have been harsh at times, but he did what he had to do to expel an oppressive ruler, with its strings being pulled by us and the uk. His 'idea' couldn't be stopped.

Could any true Ron Paul Supporter even think of staying in the Republican Party after August if Ron Paul is not the Nominee?

The Republican Party will lose for sure if Ron Paul is not its' standard bearer.

I cannot imagine in my wildest dreams that Ron would endorse any of these four Neo-cons for President.

He was talking about the income tax, not taxes in general. I think that's an important note to make.

A person is smart, but people are not.

In groups people tend to be rude, loud, obnoxious, make knee-jerk decisions, etc as to demonstrate to each other their own prowess. Take a person from that same group and they will be mostly logical, accessible, calm, and think things through.

That's right. I'd like to see someone booed when they are sitting in a chair all by themselves, camera on them, and have them boo the golden rule. How many people would do it? Unbelievable.
