Since it appears that you have great wisdom, are there any sustainable principles in a dystopian society?"survival of the fittest" and "kill or be killed" are not principles.
The first is just a description of an outcome which tells you nothing about how to survive or be the "fittest". (It's like saying "the winner is the one who wins".)
The second is just a description of an action which is uselessly indiscriminate and quite possibly extremely counterproductive. (It's stupid to kill people who might be of use or help to you.)
