"survival of the fittest" and "kill or be killed" are not principles.

The first is just a description of an outcome which tells you nothing about how to survive or be the "fittest". (It's like saying "the winner is the one who wins".)

The second is just a description of an action which is uselessly indiscriminate and quite possibly extremely counterproductive. (It's stupid to kill people who might be of use or help to you.)

Everyone sets their own threshold. Nobody can answer that question for you. But, you know, we were told that welfare and regulation and central planning would create a utopia. Did it? And if it was created to transform the nation into a utopia but turned it into something else, what could that something else possibly be?

I am not looking for someone to answer for me. I am looking for their perspective on whether they think we are in Dystopian times. I think we are. What do you think? Yes or now is a good answer.

Yes, I think powerful forces created tyranny while telling us it would be utopia. And they haven't completely removed the mask yet.

That fits my definition of dystopia. And Canada "assisting suicide", it seems to me, fits everyone's definition of dystopia.

Sure there is. All this inflation is causing massive artificial shortage at the bottom, as all the wealth is skimmed off the top.



There are now a lot of people who work full time, but can't keep a roof overhead and food in the fridge without government subsidy. And it's not because they're splurging on concerts and GrubHub.

It's because we are having our assets and our wages systematically devalued. It's a way to exercise control. It doesn't matter how hard you work any more. Government can still render you homeless and hungry.

Why are people irrational lately? Scared people generally are.

It's not particularly hard times when even the dimmest of wits can manage a $1000 iPhone, a car and so much food that obesity is a chronic health problem.

All government has to do at this point is flip the switch, and it ends for whomever is to be punished today. No, government can't keep it up forever. You're right about that.
