Dave Brat hires former Cantor operative to run campaign

This guy was outspent 40-1 by Cantor.

He is a college professor who hired a 23 year-old campaign manager.

Did he go into this expecting to slay the beast? Hell no!

But what happens when beast drops dead?

The slayer's eyes suddenly turn green. It's practically impossible for them not to. Imagine what's going through his head. Suddenly he doesn't have to lecture to a bunch of bored kids as an obscure academic; HE'S GOIN TO WASHINGTON! Limos. High-priced escorts, cocaine, the whole world at his feet!

Screw those who got him here. Like 99.9% of all others who've gotten the ring within their grasp, the ring becomes all that matters.

She stood by Brat this election.

I found this very troubling at first, but now that it seems like Werrell decided to step down on his own volition, I'm perfectly fine with it. Especially since Chase endorsed Brat. Plus I'm betting she has contacts with some in the party establishment and has been brought on to bridge that gap and mend a few bridges.

It said he had worked 20 hour days and had lost 25 pounds. I'd say if he is ok with taking a break, then we need to give some room before we judge.

The weight thing could be that he just went paleo--he being an LRC reader. :)

Where does it say he wants a break? Seems the guy busted his ass only to get discarded like a used rag.

In other articles, he is also still part of the campaign team.

Here ya' go:

Zachary Werrell helped guide Dave Brat to one of the biggest political upsets in American history, with Brat stunning Washington by ousting House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in a primary last week, reports CBS News' Chip Reid.
Brat, a Tea Party favorite, has since hired a new campaign manager. After many grueling 20-hour days, the 23-year-old campaign whiz who lost 25 pounds during the primary campaign said he simply needed a break.
One week after handing Cantor a humiliating defeat, Werrell says it still hasn't fully sunk in.

Werrell has earned a lot of respect from us, and the MSM as well in their way. Despite their attacking his views, he should run himself for something next cycle, he would raise big bucks.
