Darryl W. Perry 2016 Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate

the picture tells you all you need to know about how serious this candidate is
Not technically, but that superficiality is one of the things 'Muricans look for in a POTUS, especially in age of photography/videography-so you kinda have a point there.

ETA: cliche but true-politics is showbusiness for the ugly.

Lets attract more dependents so we can grow more statism! It's a foolproof idea!

Current situation:

People are immigrating, and using public benefits.

My plan:

1. Change public sentiment, to being against public benefits.
2. Remove public benefits.

Your plan:

1. Change public sentiment, to being against immigration.
2. Remove immigration.
3. Change public sentiment, to being against public benefits.
4. Remove public benefits.
5. Change public sentiment, to being in favor of immigration.
6. Continue immigration.

Which one is simpler, cheaper, and quicker to execute? And, how exactly do you plan on executing step 1. and step 5 within a 50 year timeframe? I would guess that step 5 and 6 aren't part of your plan, though.

Gotta love all the Liberty Revolutionaries keeping the lights on at RonPaulForums.

"He's the only candidate in the race, even in the Libertarian Party, talking about complete philosophical liberty, trying to spread the message. but muh borders! or muh love of keeping other people's abortions in the black market!"

There's no room for nuance here, we need straight up authoritarianism in those areas that interest me, and it must be exactly my opinion being enforced, and you all have to pay for it! Because Freedom!

I know right? WTF people?

2A massive border wall
2B militarize border
2C National ID cards
2D Universal background check for employment
2E primary ID enforcement in border states
2F Refugee camps

Exactly. He put on a suit and combed his hair. He's super serious about this.

Or were you dissing his face, which probably couldn't be fixed by taking a different picture?

I'm dismayed by the photo comments. I'd vote for a man missing a head if he could turn things around.

Open borders? No thank you. People have a right to be sovereign and so do countries.

As superficial as that is, you're right. Damn he be fugly

Presentation is a big part of politics. He's not the ugliest person in the world but it would have cost next to nothing to get a professional haircut and a professional photograph, and to wear clothes that say "Presidential".

And if he can't do that, and doesn't have anyone around to insist that he does, then no combination of circumstances can ever make him viable.

Based on that picture, I'd guess he was running a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, not a Presidential campaign.

He appears to have a ponytail.

It's true. And one of many, many reasons politics isn't srs bizns.

I held my nose for a baby-killer in 2012 with Johnson, I don't know if I'm going to do it again, I may end up voting for the Constitution Party candidate.

From a brother in Christ, don't vote for a baby-killer. Vote for the Constitution Party if you have to. I'm writing someone in
