Daily Rasmussen - Paul down to 3% nationally

We need to figure out why people all want what Paul is saying but why they aren't supporting him.

The obvious answer is thanks to the majority of the media and the so called professionals, Ron Paul has no chance in hell of becoming president. In the end it is these people who want what he is offering yet will not sacrifice standing up for themselves or this country to acheive it.

I went shopping today and I hear a lady and a man debating about McCain and Huckabee. I giggled and laughed and said I didn't fit in there because i was a Paul supporter, the woman said nothing and the man said he would vote for him if he thought he had a chance.

That logic in one person is fine, but that logic is in alot of people and when you start adding up the one person by one person it gets into the thousands and then the millions. Millions make us real. We need to make these people realize that its for real. I want to see Ron Paul come out and say that if he doesn't get the nomination, his name will still be on the ballot. Thanks to the media people beleive he doesn't have a chance, I want ot see videos of people supporting Paul. Show these people that they are not alone and show them in a way where they understand that hey one person may not matter but 1x10,000 does. 1 x 1,000,000 does and they are part of that equation. I meen marches that will be videod in major cities where we show up and its on camera and it can be put in videos so that people don't see 10 supporters or 100 supporters they see 100,000 supporters showing their support.

The only way to counter it to undo what the media has done to us. If we attack the media they have way more resources to hurt us than we do them. They can run one negitive ad that could really hurt the campaign and wouldn't have to say it was wrong until after the damage was done.

We need ads. I live in Texas, Pauls home state and other than signs I have seen nothing on him. I have seen one Obama ad and two Hillary ads on TV though. Ron needs to get something on USA network. They have high rated shows on Fridays, show movies that get good ratings and its nation wide in the cable market. I am just rambling now but we need to reach out to people nationwide and in states that are currently active. I posted some ad ideas somewhere else on here also. Hope this will help in some way. I have donated, I have stood on the soap box, and I have offered ideas. I will do more, every day until November if necessary but the people of America need to know that we all will.

Man, I think we are reduced to reading charts.

I'm a bit peeved so, here it is again.

Our experience in New Hampshire should be a lesson.

The quickest and most efficient way of beating McCain (and the others) in MICHIGAN and all other states is this:

Dr. Paul has to come out with a 'Just War' ad and say something to this effect:

'If I am elected President, I shall prohibit the CIA from meddling in other countries' political processes. But, I shall refocus the CIA towards hunting down our attackers on 9/11 - who are still very much alive despite trillions of dollars spent on the Wars and thousands of American soldiers killed or maimed.

Hunting down terrorists is a job for spies. Not the military.

Because we were attacked by terrorists on 9/11, as President it will be my solemn duty to bring these terrorists to justice, as required by our Constitution".

If Dr. Paul does NOT put out an ad to this effect, we will find it VERY DIFFICULT to beat McCain (and the rest).

Those who don't learn from the past are destined to repeat it. - Santayana.

We need to win a state convincingly very SOON guys and gals! That's the ONLY way we can protect Dr. Paul's donation base!

Come on! This ad won't cost much. Kids on YouTube can make vids in 30 minutes. We supposedly still have funds to make this ad with ease.

Kindly help me move this forward. Thanks.

The problem with this ad, the major reason many conservatives do not vote for him is his foreign policy views. I don't know how many "conservatives" I've heard say "I like a lot of his views, but when it comes to foreign policy he is off his rocker." So you can put this ad out, but it won't help generate many more votes because many republicans still agree with our interventionist foreign policy. Many truly believe that the terrorists hate us because we are free or christian or some other BS, it really is sad.

This newsletter thing is awful. We believe that Ron Paul didn't write those things, but everyone else is skeptical. Let's face it: If this story had come out about one of the other candidate, we wouldn't believe their denials either.

Maybe we should remind the Reagan-loving conservatives bashing Paul over this of the following:

"Poindexter resigned, and North was fired, but Iran-Contra was far from over. The press hounded the president: Did he know about these illegal activities, and if not, how could something of this magnitude occur without his knowledge? In an investigation by the Reagan-appointed Tower Commission, it was determined that, as president, Reagan's disengagement from the management of his White House had created conditions which made possible the diversion of funds to the Contras. But there was no evidence linking Reagan to the diversion."

Paul's disengagement from the management of his newsletter created conditions which made possible the publication of statements in his newsletter utterly contrary to Paul's publically stated beliefs. But there is no evidence indicating that Paul wrote the offending articles or was aware of their existance at the time.

We're still gaining in the long term. I personally view the newsletter controversy as a net positive, as it increases exposure to Ron Paul.

I for one am not going to give up until the America returns to having a small government, and thriving free market.

Yaay!

One of 3 things will happen that will decide it for Paul.

1. He stays low, and remains low and does not get the nomination - the MSM suceeded - he will not run for 3rd party...

1.5 - Combination of 1 and 2

2. People will slowly start to wake up to Paul's message - and he will start to win some States before it's to late.

3. All the sudden - A true massive revolution will take place and Paul will win in a landslide.

I vote for 1.5 - It can go either way.... - He has to have a strong showing in the upcoming events..

You are 100% correct sir. I hope people take this to heart, but more than likely dismissed with so much dribble.

I obviously have.

Why are you telling us? Send this to the Paul campaign via RonPaul2008.com

People, I obviously have sent this message to the official campaign.
But you KNOW how hard it is to wake them up.

That is why I need your help to push this. For ALL our sakes.
The more voices, the bigger the chance that the official RP campaign will listen.

Do we have to write a manifesto with all our senior members concurring with this suggestion?

We need to act fast!

The reality is the big slap in the face we already know

The MSM is attached to our government; the industrial Empire and its many Complexes. All it would take is fair reporting from the major networks; Faux, CNN, MSNBC and Ron Paul would launch into the public conciousness .

That is the stark reality and that is what is our biggest threat. The Media.

focus

the campaign needs to hire a top notch campaign director if there are still any available. there is certainly been enough money availbale to run a top flight campaign instead of what has been been taking place. after the south carolina debate it was a huge mistake for ron paul not to interview with hannity an colmes, you want to get your message out at all times. of course my question is what is the message? the campaign needs to focus on tow or three points that resonate with the average american voter that will cause them to vote for ron paul. my suggestions are getting us out iraq as soon as possible, the huge savings of a reduced military role will save us so much money that we can elimiante the irs. people want out of the was and the irs. keep the issues simple enough for the average joe to understand at this point.

I'm expecting the agression to come out of the Ron Paul campaign till after SC, cause that after everyone elses campaigns peak

Wow! Did you hire Rudy's advisors? We need to focus on conservatives not liberals, on winning not placing third or fourth. We are slipping because Dr. Paul needs to hire a real staff and start spending his funds. Every small business owner knows when it comes to advertising, you get what you pay for. We need to move Dr. Pauls image into the main stream, and yes even tone it down a step... we don't have to abadon our views, just speak about them in a more considerate way.

I agree 100%. Why isn't the National Campaign listening? Someone needs to bring this message to Ron Paul directly, I wonder if the National Staff could be shielding him from this information to protect themselves.

Yes and we must remind people on not allowing the corporate america to dictate their opinion. RESEARCH issues, Research Candidates make your own informed opinion!
I say this to people every day. The good news is the mass majority of them are realizing the media/corporate america influence in this election. They are ticked about the fox faux jan 6th exclusion of RP. And they do notice he is not present like the others in daily news on tube or print unless its negative... Yep they are slowly waking up.
I often wonder if there is hope for those that vote politics like its a football game, gotta vote for who they tell me the winner is! Thats so nutty...

I wonder if the National Staff could be shielding him from this information to protect themselves.

I could not agree with you more. After this recent debacle I no longer trust the national campaign staff.

It's natural that support will be constantly eroded by the smear campaign being orchestrated by the other candidates and the MSM. We need an effective way to counter this assault but unfortunately we are failing in that regard. Fox succeeded in marginalizing Dr. Paul in the SC debate with the help of the other candidates, Luntz, and possibly some plants in the audience who laughed on cue.

We're slipping in the polls because we are losing this contest. The only way to turn this around is to completely rethink our strategies. It's a big job.

The newsletter story is hurting bad. I heard all kinds of comments on it and even many long time libertarians are shaken by this scandal. The campaign better bring in Pros NOW to deal with this.

I do not think the newsletter story is hurting RP, and in fact, I think it will backfire.

If RP was getting votes from the semi-racist redneck republicans, he'd be a lot better than 10% in the polls, especially in the south.

I'm a libertarian who is bothered by these newsletters.

I'm a Libertarian who's bothered by the racist war on drugs, and am bothered that all the other major candidates besides RP, both democrat and republican, are enabling systemic racism.
