I'm not sure what's with this rash of people claiming others must be "young" just because you disagree with them. Anyway, like I said, I'm not surprised by him changing his vote to yes and was actually surprised when he voted no the first time. It would be like someone who was against abortion voting against the PBA ban at first because he thought it wasn't good enough and then turning around and voting for it after receiving pressure from the pro-life lobby to "take a bad bill over no bill". He was probably told "We'll keep pushing for a public option going forward, but if this thing dies now there will be no chance to try for anything like this again before you retire".
Am I disappointed? Yes. Surprised? No. If a liberty candidate won the GOP primary and challenged Kucinich would I support the liberty candidate? Definitely. Is there any chance of that happening? Unlikely. Am I still glad Kucinich supports audit the fed and will challenge his own party on the war issue? Most definitely.
