CPAC - Straw Poll Today (update: Rand Paul wins!)

Am I the only one who can discern the sincerity of an individual simply by how they speak?

It's so evident I don't know how one could think he is anything other than sincere. You can, literally, hear it in his voice. It's the way Rand talks...Ron talked...Amash talks...we're just getting more polished.

Is he just in stealth mode or is he sincere?

What a speech...holy cow!!! I got chills. I had that moment of complete amazement that this message is being spread at such high levels in the conservative movement. Blows my mind how far we've come.

Ron Paul got 6%

Ron Paul was NOT on the ballot. I think Varin mistook Paul Ryan (who WAS on the ballot and got 6%) for Ron Paul.

If Ron Paul was voted for, it was as a write-in - and no write-in got more than 1%.

1% was undecided.
14% was Other.
Ron Paul could have 6% from those 14%.

You could be mistaking. I could be wrong too. Dont go all bananas on me... or could it be that all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream...

According to what what's-his-face said during the presentation, no one person in the "Other" category (composed of both write-ins and people who were actually on the ballot) got more than 1%.

IIRC, he said that there were over 40 people in that category. That's why they lumped them all together under "Other."

... or could it be that all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream...

We can but stand amid the roar ... ;)
