CPAC - Do We Have A Booth? VA/DC check in!

http://www.cpac.org/

Romney and McCain do. DC RP supporters need to move on this! We need a presence here - it is very important!

agreed

Anyone know how to secure a spot for us there? I will volunteer to help man the booth or pass out literature or whatever it takes to get the job done. Please PM me if you get any info.

It should be on the website.

Call them.

This would be a great place to pass out anti-McCain flyers! He skipped CPAC last year because he knew he would get attacked.

let me send you the chuck baldwin ad to show

just called

I just called and left a message. I did not mention what type of booth I wanted to set up so hopefully I will get a call back. Anyone else up for this or am I going to be there alone?

I'm sure we can get some help for you, as soon as people realize they're needed. We need to notify DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia meetups.

$$$$

I have a feeling they are going to charge for this booth (although I did not see any info about that on the site). Where is the billionaire when you need him?:D

According to Mark Hemingway:
After skipping the event last year, I just heard that McCain purchased a booth at CPAC, the annual conservative gathering in Washington coming up two weeks from now. CPAC attendees are pretty hard core conservatives — not exactly McCain’s base. Romney won the straw poll there last year, and at one point, McCain was actually booed by the crowd when they announced the poll results. Then again, CPAC is a few days after Super Tuesday, so it’s possible McCain could have locked up the nomination by then. It’ll be interesting to see how much of an olive branch to conservatives this is perceived to be.

Yes, I'm looking for a price. Last I heard (and I haven't paid attention to CPAC in a few years) the booths were around 250.00.

I can't find a price on the web. We'll just have to see when they call if there's any space left.

even if

Even if there is no space left we should still get some folks out there with signs. I almost hate to suggest this but I see that the libertarian party has a booth so maybe we should contact them to see if they can provide some help.

I saw the LP, too. They might give us half their booth.

You know, we could also call the campaign and see if they'll get an official booth. McCain and Romney did.

That's great. We really need a presence there. It's a very important conservative gathering.

Found this from last year.

The price of this invaluable exposure for the LP and the Libertarian
brand of real conservatism that young conservatives want but are not
getting from the Republicans is *only* $1,500. However, Jim Lark was
disinclined to have an LP booth there. He commented "At this time, I
have not pursued the purchase of a table at CPAC, because I suspect
the investment of resources will not bring a suitable return this
year."

Probably about the same amount this year. 1,500!!

good lord

I can throw in a few dollars for this but I cannot afford $1,500 for this booth. As soon as I hear back from them regarding space I will let you know because we may hve to start a chip-in or get some private donors together.
