Could we please be a bit more polite and mature this time around?

There's no point in asking things like this. If you somehow, magically, got 99% of all RP supporters to do things you ask, you'll have the 1% who won't and the media WILL focus on them and everyone else WILL equate their actions to the rest of us. I'm certain most supporters are courteous, but everyone focuses on those they dislike anyway to paint a bad picture of us. If people can really be persuaded by our side and what's holding them back are our supporters, it's clear they're only in it for their own vanity and we'll never change their minds anyway unless we're some sort of exclusive club they can brag to their friends about belonging to.

I'm certain there's a ton of Palin supporters who are a bunch of assholish douchebags. I KNOW there are a ton of Romney supporters who are, but no-one ever talks about them. No-one else is expected to police their supporters, because the idea of it is ridiculous. Why are we the only ones? It's a little strange, isn't it?
There is a point because if more people are aware of it, more people will ask their fellow supporters to stop being rude when it happens.

We already know the rules...

Our job, if we choose to accept it, is not to make more rules. Our job, Ron Paul's supporters job, is to show the media that we do not approve of the bad behavior by objecting to it real time. It is up to the mature ones to fix this.

Immature people are everywhere. Our overlords WILL plant them at Ron Paul rallies.

- Let us not blame immature behavior within our group as plants by our "overlords." Furthermore, don't accuse those being immature as being plants by our "overlords."

You're not kidding, are you?
How come the immature people at Jessie Jackson's Jr.'s rallies are not mainstream news?

I was just offering a solution guys. It is naive to believe that this forum is going to reach all the immature folks who will do irresponsible stuff. I also know for a fact that some people are planted at rallies. Some people do not know how to behave. It is up to the mature people to teach the immature people - real time - so that the media gets the picture of the real Ron Paul supporters being mature.

I think stuff will go up on public property like light posts, to the extent that is a community custom for all candidates, it is kind of hard for college kids to know all the rules. But if you put stuff up before an event, take it down, Clean up, don't yell over other speakers when we are excited Ron is coming on next, don't yell 'end the fed' when someone is talking about infrastructure, don't boo. Unless they start it.

Be perfect.

Just kidding, but remember we are trying to win hearts and minds at least as effectively as our bombs won over the Iraqi populace to our side. Blowback comes in many forms.

I know people are planted at rallies, but we want to be credible when we say so.

god i hope more people agree with this. it really hurts ron when people do those things. that stossel crowd was painful to hear. its like alex jones when he got ont he view. he takes that one opportunity to just shout as many words as he can to get somethign across cause he knows he never gets that much attention so he just starts acting crazy (not unusual). thats what these rp people do. they feel the need to overcompensate and exaggerate to show how much support ron has. that includes throwing snowballs and annoying boos at people and excessive cheering at every word ron says. it gets annoying. and people watching dont appreciate the obvious need for attention it shows.

A must watch if you want to go out and be a volunteer for Ron...

Not to revisit this but this Girl was trying to assualt Rand. She was trying to create a fight and she got one. I really hope RP supporters don't stand around and let someone beat RP in the face.

Pulling her down looked like justified force in defense of another if you saw the WHOLE tape (including her shoving a picket sign twice through the open car of his window into his face while the car was moving then immediately trying to rush him when he got out of the car.) However, stepping on her AFTER she was pinned to the ground, and shoving her down with his foot? I have my opinion, but I'll leave it to the judge. I suspect it will be excessive force in defense of another, but I'm not sure how Kentucky looks at that.

You know a majority of things you listed was what shocked a lot of people out of their ignorance. And maybe you should appreciate our past and embrace the enthusiasm.

I don't think you need to be rude, and doubt that would often have a positive effect. After all, it is the standards of the community that make people call it 'rudeness'.

Banners on overpasses, now THAT might have cured some apathy... but I don't want people getting into trouble. If we aren't obnoxious, though, I suspect they won't be as picky against us. Last time we were the ONLY one they enforced laws on in some places.

Were you a screaming mcCain or Obama supporter and these antics shocked you into supporting RP?

I am not talking about being rude. I am saying that we got noticed because people thought outside of the box. And people expressed themselves individually, some more diplomatic then others.

I was and RP supporter May of 07 when I saw a person standing on a street corner holding an RP sign. I appreciated the loud RP supporters at the Texas Republican Convention when we were getting railroaded.

I would say it was excessive force brought on by the emotions of the moment. When you instigate violence a lot of times the violence you get in response maybe far greater than what you started. It is human nature so people need to be da**ed careful when they instigate violence.

I kinda agree with outside the box. That is good. I just think some people get into a 'rally' mindset and don't realize that yelling "Ron Paul!!" when they are bored of the speaker ahead of him is rude to those who are listening. Pretend you are with your grandparents.
