Could we please be a bit more polite and mature this time around?

Here's the deal. To win the Republican nomination, Ron has to appeal to a number of middle-aged and senior, largely Christian, Republicans. The way we behave impacts Ron's chances of doing that. If we are trying to help him, our first rule should be to do no harm.

This is the winning formula

But what if I want to throw a snowball at Romney? Come on, admit it. Wouldn't you love to throw a snowball at Romney? Be honest.

Throw all the snowballs you want, just make sure you wear a "I'm a birther/truther and I support Trump for President 2012!" when you do :)

I agree with the OP in general.

If you are a birther/truther/CT please don't bring that stuff up while campaigning for Ron Paul.

If you want to scream at people about conspiracy theories, make sure you don't mention Ron Paul (or, better yet, wear a shirt supporting one of his opponents- I'd love to see Trump's or Romney's supporters come off as tin foil hatters rather than Dr. Paul's).

Yep...That's what I've been saying. Like it or not, it is what it is and there's no way around it. You want him to win, you've got to market the man to that base. Otherwise, hang it up and go home.

+Rep for you and OP. If any of us still believe electoral victories help (ie. Rand and Ron getting to be all over TV,) we have to realize it's counterproductive to tick off the people who actually VOTE IN THE ELECTIONS. You're not gonna "wake them up" by being rude, you're going to make sure they never take you (or your candidate) seriously.

We have a winner.
