Could we please be a bit more polite and mature this time around?

I was and RP supporter May of 07 when I saw a person standing on a street corner holding an RP sign. I appreciated the loud RP supporters at the Texas Republican Convention when we were getting railroaded.

Do you know anybody that was converted by this list of antics? I don't but I do know people that were turned off on RP by this.

Yes, by all means, when you are witnessing in real time our country circling the drain, please, stay dignified as you drop into the abyss.

We can't worry what some idiots will do. Not to mention, I don't want to stifle enthusiasm or excitement. I think the vast majority of people are respectful and excited. If a few people do things out of the mainstream, that's their deal. I can't control them.

If you subscribe to the theory of getting it over quick this works.

So...Ron Paul is against civil Disobedience?....this includes that destructive and violent behavior of booing someone, or God forbid, we wear blue jeans with a hole in the knee, or even that playful pastime of throwing a snowball?...geezus...what a bunch of BS.

I guess we better not promote anymore Tea Party events. Waaay to childish, and promoting violence and destruction is not going to get Ron any votes...

GTFO...

And when/if we the Republican "leadership" break their own rules and possibly the law at the State caucuses as they did last time around, just accept it and go home. There is always 2016 /s

Sorry, but when that went down last time around people were rightfully VERY upset and yelling and so forth. I applaud them for doing so

But what if I want to throw a snowball at Romney? Come on, admit it. Wouldn't you love to throw a snowball at Romney? Be honest.

Please note my sig. Come on, some 98% of this forum membership was once sleeping like a baby. Stop playing the 'I woke up before you did' card. You get a lot more out of people if you waken them gently.

Oh yeah, that gets +rep when I get some more ammo.

And that's all I'm going to read in yet another hectoring, wheedling, whining, "place nice you fucking assholes" thread.

To those who disagree with me, I'm talking about BRANDING. When you throw a snowball at someone, and your friend is holding a Ron Paul sign, observers will associate that action with the Ron Paul brand. When you're working the front counter at McDonalds, they'll ask you to wear a clean uniform, treat the customer with respect, and act professional. When you're off the clock and not representing McDonalds as their employee, it matters much less what you do.

We are Ron Paul's sales team. Act like it. When you're off the clock, I don't care.

If you are driving a car with Ron Paul bumper stickers, you must drive as if YOU are Ron Paul. If people tailgate you, move to the right lane and let them pass. Don't hurl expletives, tailgate people, or drive aggressively. I'm from Philly, and I live in an area where the worst drivers in the world reside (Florida). It can be aggravating, but if you have RP bumper stickers, PLEASE show the man respect by driving respectfully!

On the chick getting stepped on...

Let's not rehash the whole thing, but bringing it up as an example of what should never happen seems wrong in this thread. If you listen to the videos, you'll hear supporters telling the guy not to do it. You'll hear people "in real time" saying that it shouldn't be going on.

It's a nice thought to ask everyone to play nice. Some simply will not. Some have no idea how to play nice to begin with. Some know how to play nice, and would play nice, except they'd rather stay a fringe movement because winning frightens them. Some might view the thread and think about that list, and make a decision that they will play nicer in the future. Some will view the list and be offended into playing less nicely in the future.

So yeah. Another one of these threads.

Don't:
Talk about 9/11 conspiracy or other conspiracies unless your listener broaches the subject.

This is by far the most important in the list, although I would end it at "Don't talk about 9/11 conspiracy or other conspiracies."

pray the conspiracy theorists hop on GJ's boat so we can win this thing. Let's take Iowa, NH, SC, raise a crap load of money, go door to door, and do show the establishment that we run this show.

I think I was pretty polite last time around, I'll probably be as or more polite this time because I'm a little older.

But no way in hell am I going to tell some 20 year old, or 60 year old activist for that matter what the best way for them to positively impact the outcome of the election is.

Was Hannity ever hit by a snowball?

I never saw one thrown on that video.

I am not talking about being rude. I am saying that we got noticed because people thought outside of the box. And people expressed themselves individually, some more diplomatic then others.

Here's the deal. To win the Republican nomination, Ron has to appeal to a number of middle-aged and senior, largely Christian, Republicans. The way we behave impacts Ron's chances of doing that. If we are trying to help him, our first rule should be to do no harm.
