Contact Hq Now! We Have Our Superbowl Commercial

IF you are talking super bowl this is what would get attention.
BE DIFFERENT!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxUR_0eMfEM
When I first watched this I thought it was a Ron Paul ad, and I also thought "This hits exactly, and taps directly into the American sub-conscious"

If there was an ad similar to this, no sound, intelligent writing and a direct opposite to what an ad is ment to do...
What happens next?
Interest?
where do the viewers go?
Internet?

Then we catch them.

Any other approach and 99.999999% will not give a dam to even remember the web address. Most people are too skeptical or apathetic to care, they have already been duped before by snazzy commercial tricks, and don't care for it.

I was thinking along a similar vein. As numb as they are, Americans do not like to be played.

There was once a 50's cigarette commercial advertising a cigarette with an asbestos filter (Kent with Micronite filter) with the endorsement of 9 out 10 doctors who smoke recommending them.

A media BS compare and contrast would not be suited for a 30 second slot, but may powerfully highlight the media deceptions that we face in this campaign.

That converse ad was great!

I agree...this would be a good choice for a super bowl commercial. Were will will get the millions to air it from?

First, last year's superbowl commercials (30 second ads) went for $2.6 MILLION.
http://tv.propeller.com/story/2007/...rcial-at-super-bowl-xli-will-cost-26-million/

So adjusting for inflation and corporate greed, expect a 30 sec spot this year to go for a cool $3 million.

In case anyone was paying attention, we've only raised $750,000 and we're almost halfway through January. That puts us on track to bring in about $5 million for the entire 1stQ in 2008. That's a HUGE step backwards.

We need some seriously PROFESSIONAL tv ads that can be run in ANY state.

No Austrian Economics. No lame '60s anti-war hippie music.

It should visually resemble something like the intro segment of "The West Wing".

Instead of the various character images from the show, use images of the Great American Patriots and Presidents, while having text fade in and out that cites various statistics about the debt, the death toll in Iraq, the loss of Constitutional liberties, outsourcing of jobs, unsecured borders...

...and a voice-over saying something about:

the birth of a great nation... overcoming the challenges in times of uncertainty... and monumental human accomplishment (like putting a man on the moon)... great leaders have always arisen in America's Hour of Need... and in this time of unprecendented uncertainty and struggle, once again a man has stepped forward to answer America's Call... to show us the Path back to America's greatness, prosperity, and leadership... Ron Paul.

It's time to put America first. There's a New American Revolution for Freedom. Vote Ron Paul for President 2008.

In fact, I'm gonna start working on it right NOW.

You got it nailed. Put something together.

why raise 2.6 million to air it once? when we can raise 2.6 and air it hundreds of times in different states

Most people watching the Super Bowl don't care that much about politics, so it'd be a waste of money.

Now if the blimp crew got clearance to fly over.. that would be far less expensive.

you can not display political messages during the superbowl period. I had this idea a month ago and there is some policy with the broadcaster that they do not allow political messages

attacking the current administration is pointless. They are out. When I hear Hilary attack the current people in office, I think it is a joke that no one cares about anymore. They are gone, finito, let's talk about what Ron Paul is going to change. Look ahead, not behind.

It is about 3 million dollars for a 30 second ad, and guess who is covering it? I think Fox. Plus, they are usually not very up beat about political ads during superbowl. remember how Moveon was censored a couple years ago by CBS for their commercial Childs Pay

I think they should use and USE that "awesome" ad and he redwhiteblue ad. These (especially the AWESOME one) show why we support him. The ads I have seen are so much less powerful than these

CBS said the telecast averaged 93.15 million viewers.
I watch it for the commercials, I dont watch commercials other wise.
This is the best chance to get some name recognition.
Say one out of every five look him up.
I think this is the best idea I have seen.

That thing is 10 minutes long! This video is the best of them all...

In absolutely 100% agreement, THAT has to go on the Superbowl. It's the perfect message for the perfect crowd in the perfect numbers. And the "Fortunate Son" track is the best of all the remixes. That's worth whatever it costs, song royalties included. HQ needs to be bombarded with emails with the idea. FedEx the DVD to their front door if we have to.

I have to say, for something this big we need to forget a direct message. There is a feeling of restlessness in America, I felt it everywhere when I was canvasing.

We need to follow a big rule in advertising, "leave them wanting more"

If we dump too much info or try to squeeze a long message into 30 seconds IT WILL FAIL. This has been proven over and over.

Yes I agree that the flashy animation one is very well done, but thats all people are going to see during the super bowl is flash, glitiz & boobs (godaddy).

Let's give them a complete 360 from this, Please take a look at this ad as an example.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxUR_0eMfEM

There needs to be a genuine emotional connection to the restlessness feeling.
This does not require Ron Paul to speak, but to show a message that "Yes MANY of us are feeling the same way" and connect it directly to Ron Paul.

I am working on a script right now, and will put it up soon.

lucius: I am in complete agreement on that angle, Let's see if we can find more stuff in our history that we accepted as truth and fact only to be proven wrong.
also Lucius you should check out this video, It could have a good parallel to your ideas. Called "Truth Happens"

Has the superbowl ad been confirmed???

Also, I think a great ad would be 5-10 famous (read: recognizable by most people) saying the simple line "I believe in Ron Paul" or "I endorse Ron Paul". This would give us name recognition (constantly repeating "Ron Paul" and credibility in the eyes of the masses who look up to celebrities). Whether we could get any to come on board is another story.
