Constitution Day Moneybomb - Sept. 17th Promotion Ideas Thread

Just had a chat with admin of Women for Rand Paul (11.500+) and Making friends Through Rand Paul (20.000+) and other pages and groups. She agreed to pin posts promoting moneybomb... Jackie already noticed it :)

+REP!!! Awesome Job Barrex, home run! :)

Trying to pull in some of the "wish I could help but don't have money/time" crowd.

If you support Rand Paul and you have a Facebook or Twitter account, it can really be as simple and quick as a minute or two to check off that list. Even if you don't have a large following or a lot of friends, it still helps. It's free for you, but you will be helping bring in more money for Rand.

Part of how Facebook determines whether to show our posts in someone's feed is based on how much engagement past posts have received. So every like, share, comment or time you click on a link helps... even if you don't necessarily have any Rand Paul friends. You will be telling Facebook the posts are worthy to show in other people's feed. And there are only one or two posts a day so it's not overwhelming.

Liking the page makes it more likely Facebook will suggest that page to other Rand supporters... and a higher number of likes increases the chances that someone new will like it themselves. Same for the event "going" numbers, and Twitter followers. The more popular something seems, the easier it is to join in.

Also, anyone that has a Facebook or Twitter account can join the Thunderclap in seconds.

This is all as quick and easy as voting in an online poll for Rand, and it will actually have a real direct impact on helping him.

To everyone that has been doing what I just listed, thank you.

Facebook has restrictions on posting/messaging...I had some time ... yada yada yada... Some data:

Our audience is least active between 5:00 am-3:00 pm. Dont post during this time.
Most active during 6:00pm-5:00am

Video posts reach 3x-10x more people and have 3x-10x more engagements(shares, likes, comments). Keep them under 24 seconds for best results. The longer they are less and less people will see them entirely.

Most people interested in moneybombs are 25-35 years (22%). Next are 35-44 year old with 16%. Should get in touch with students for Rand (our targeted audience for moneybombs and they are most active group on social media).

Post that have best chances to be engaged (liked, shared, commented) are the ones that have:
-Video (shorter than 24 sec)
-Picture AND quote from Rand or something about Rand with link to something

Doesnt work:
-No Rand
-No pictures of Rand
-No stuff about Rand
-Help us promote Rand Paul Constitution Day Moneybomb. (Just putting Rands name there is not good enough)
-just mentioning Moneybomb and asking people to do something.

Yesterday we reached new record heights (videos viewed, likes, shares, comments).

Most of Rand Paul donations come from communities with population smaller than 20.000 people.

When someone posts a link on Reddit or PopularLiberty significan amount of people visits Moneybomb Facebook Timeline.... It would be great if we had different person for every social media because if that person posts 3-10 posts a day on his assigned social media impact would be significant.

Every day a new 15 sec video? Every day new graphics and quote from Rand? And people post it on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Reddit etc.)... That would be a way to go if we had enough manpower.

P.s.
I send admin of all 50 states for Rand Paul a message had she just sent me friends request and invited me to "secret groups"...Waiting for her reply on my message...

Yep. By far the best time to post is from later afternoon in to the evening. That's the spot where I'll post the newest graphic or video on the Facebook page. And when possible I've also tried to make one post in the early morning... not as big a reach but still might hit the morning crowd.

Nice job breaking it down, and you're exactly right. Videos get by far the most engagement, followed by pictures, and then just text.

That's why all of the graphics I've made I've tried to have be a Rand photo, with a Constitution related quote. That combo works great. I also just made an animated graphic that plays like a video on Facebook to test out, so I might try more of those. It helps catch your eye more because it auto plays and starts moving.

Yeah, my goal has been to create enough graphics to post one new one every night on the Facebook and Twitter pages. On Twitter I can post about 5 times a day and repeat some of them, but with Facebook I haven't wanted to post from the page more than a couple times a day on average. The audience is too small to support too many similar posts, and Facebook would start limiting our reach.

But what everyone can do then is share those graphics and videos as many times as you can on you own timeline, on different pages, in comments, and on websites. That's what I've been doing so far, post with lower frequency but higher quality as the page and then share it as many times as possible from my personal account.

Take Barrex's tip though and if you're going to share to a group or a page or Reddit, try to do it at the right time of day. Sometimes you want to scatter a couple out in off hours to reach those people... but if you know some good places to share you should save it for the prime time hours.

Also comment on the page posts and reply to the Tweets and I'll try to comment back to get some dialog going... help break the ice for other people. A lot of people don't like to be the first.

Right now I have enough graphics made to post a new one every day until the 17th, and possibly a couple short videos. And for Twitter I cut up some more 6 second Vine video clips because the one I did as a test seems to have worked.

I also noticed Curt Schultz from Super-brochure is in alot of Rand Paul groups and his posts are almost always on top (not pinned)...

Admin from 50 states for Rand Paul will start pinning posts soon too....

It's because he spams that stuff on FB, a lot! Does posts on high traffic pages, posts on every group under the sun, sends messages to pages, leaves comments in remarks and other high reaching posts, etc.

There are so many groups on FB that some of the ones created aren't really as active as others so his posts stay on top unless something pushes them down.

I really like how you broke this down here, agreed. :) (You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Jackie Moon again.)

Thanks for contacting all of them and getting them to share, that is going to help so much. I don't have any more +Reps to give you, but it's the thought that counts right?

The animated graphic thing I was talking about earlier. On Facebook and Twitter it starts auto playing when someone sees it and that's the whole point, here you have to click play so it's not the same. I'm curious to see how it compares with a regular photo graphic.

It is one person that is admin in all 50 groups...:toady:

I am thinking about starting closed group for Facebook administrators for Rand Paul... maybe I need cooler name :) There is at least 300 of them. If I can get them all in one group before next moneybomb that would be great. I contact them and they contact people in their groups and pages...more efficient way of disseminating informatons than going from group to group and posting comments and contacting admins one by one.

There already is one, I can see about getting an invite for you and Jackie to it.

^^^^ That newest image posted above could use some shares on Facebook and Twitter.

Also, trying the Vine video thing again because the engagement rate is crazy high with them. It's like a gif with sound.
