I think Jackie is going to be starting a thread soon so we can brainstorm and pin it down for Oct., but you make really good points here.

So do we have any numbers on how much was raised on the labor day moneybomb? I'm interested to know just how well they did :-p Although, even if the constitution day one is better, I am skeptical that they will follow our lead in the future anyway.

The organizer over at DP/PL had mentioned a few times he was in contact with the campaign and assumed they would have a ticker up for Labor day, unfortunately that didn't happen. This from Enonesoch original poster of the Sept. 7th MB over there answering why a ticker wasn't up yesterday:

I don't thinks they are going to put a ticker on main page.

I contacted the campaign 3wks ago to give them a heads-up about setting up a ticker. Then again a week ago. 2 days ago I got this:

So I wrote them back:

Dear Lydia,

Thank you for responding to my letter. I understand that this is not an 'official campaign event' but I strongly suggest placing a running ticker on the main website tonight at midnight. Whether or not the campaign agrees, the fact is that when there is a running ticker for these consolidated donation days, the donation increase substantially. There need not be any mention of 'Money Bomb' or' Labor Day' or 'Goal to reach', or anything else. Just post a running ticker so people can see their donations. If Rand has faith in the grassroots he should find ways to bend to the basic accommodations requested for his benefit. There is another event happening on September 17th, if tickers are not set up for these events I assure you there will be much lost revenue. Again, thank you for responding to my letter. I hope you are in a position to make this happen. Sincerely...

I tried 3 different times to let them know about the importance of the ticker. Hope they put one up, but doubt they will ;(

Okay here you go. It's unlisted so don't share this one yet. orenbus will upload the final copy to his youtube account. I couldn't really fit the narration in because it was about 35 seconds just straight reading. So I had to chop it up. I was determined to make a 30 second video lol.

Wow, you did an awesome job. I love it. It's tough cutting to fit 30 seconds and still have enough content, but you did great.

It's the perfect length to ensure the most people watch, and it's still informative enough to tell them what's happening and pique their interest to click a link and find out more. The windows floating over the background of the Constitution and flag look pretty cool too.

Thanks again for taking the time and doing it with such quick turnaround.
 
it seems 2016 is a little different than 2012. Seems like not a lot of people care about this moneybomb. I uploaded it on making friends through RP facebook to test it, 6 hours not a single like or share lol. We used to get a lot more activity in this forum as well :(

Really? Maybe Facebook screwed up somehow and it wasn't showing. Was that the MFTRP page or the group?

The overall activity is lower than it has been in years past... we have a mix of it still being early and people being disappointed at the current numbers.

But since promoting this money bomb on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram I'm actually more encouraged than I was before. It may not compare to the activity around Ron's big money bombs, but I do see the support and activity from the people out there for this one.

The graphics have been getting a lot of likes and shares on the page. When I post them in a group like MFTRP they're getting 30 to 40 likes. The video is almost up to 1000 likes/comments/shares total.

And I know it's not because of the material I created - I give the credit to Rand and the people out there wanting to take part. Your video is a lot better so I expect it to do great over the next 8 days.

And a lot of what we've done so far is trying to get the word out and build from scratch. I just saw comments earlier in the MFTRP group from people that hadn't heard about the money bomb yet but were excited. So as people come on board and start sharing the reach will be multiplied.
