Congratulations to Ian Freeman and Mark Edge of Free Talk Live for being named TALKERS magazine Heavy Hundred #52! TALKERS magazine is a top talk radio publication.

#52 Free Talk Live (#79 in 2011) http://www.freetalklive.com/
The main hosts are Ian Freeman and Mark Edge. Over the years, the show has had many additional co-hosts, most of them members of the liberty movement.

How is a host selected?

.

Other notable, though not as pro-liberty (as Ian Freeman or Mark Edge) hosts include:
#12 Howard Stern (#12 in 2011) http://www.siriusxm.com/howard100
#13 Neal Boortz (#11 in 2011) http://www.boortz.com/
#16 Jerry Doyle (#16 in 2011) http://www.jerrydoyle.com/
#26 George Noory (#22 in 2011) http://www.coasttocoastam.com/
#79 Jason Lewis (#92 in 2011) http://www.jasonlewisshow.com/
#96 Larry Elder (#99 in 2011) http://www.larryelder.com/

Mike Church, Brian Wilson and Peter Schiff were included in the TALKERS 250. The TALKERS 250 lists the top 101-250 radio talk show hosts in alphabetical order.

Did I leave out a somewhat pro-liberty host? If so, tell me and I'll add him or her.

Congratulations to all of these open minded talk radio hosts. Great work Ian, Mark and Jason for moving up in the ranking since 2011. Alex Jones dropped from #98 in 2011 to off the list.

I want to add that Huckabee made the list, # 58. He's been on the air for 7 episodes. This pisses me off.

Also, I like Mancow - he was in #25 and has had Ron Paul on his show
Phil Hendrie was #43 - he's not liberty oriented at all, but he rocks.
Peter Schiff was in the 101-250 (I guess that's like honorable mention)

Anyway, Huckabee making the list was like Obama getting the peace prize before he entered the office

*Gratz to Mark & Ian!*

I can't wait 'til a few years from now when libertarian talk hosts (not just faux-libertarian hacks like Boortz) come to dominate at least a solid third of the talk radio market. The demographic is growing so quickly, it seems inevitable. We've got some great hosts too. I expect Freedom Feens, Wheels Off Liberty, and Angel Clark to go nationally syndicated!

Wow, wouldn't that be awesome? So much of the rhetoric on talk radio has been lifted from the libertarians, it seems like this is just a naturally libertarian-friendly environment. The libertarian rhetoric is what the talk radio audience wants to hear. Unfortunately, right now its also getting the pro-Republican apologia and water-carrying and war-mongering. I'd like to think that much of the market would be happy to either take that or leave it, and that if more consistent libertarian hosts took over, the audience's non-libertarian deviations on many of the issues would disappear.

Great news! Free Talk Live is the best pro-liberty radio show out there. I'm a huge fan (if you couldn't tell from my signature banner...)

I only stumbled across Free Talk Live about half a year ago. I was amazed! An actual pro-liberty show on national radio? And all this time I hadn't heard about it?? Wow! I suddenly felt like I had been living under a rock!

The show is great, and for those who can't listen on the radio, I highly recommend the podcast. Load your iPod with liberty and take freedom on the road with you!

Yeah, and not just on a couple stations, they're on 104 + XM as of now. 3 hours of content a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Plus the hosts are not just pro-liberty, they are liberty activists.

Very prescient of you. Freedom Feens are now syndicated on GCN, same as Free Talk Live and Alex Jones. Feens are only on 8 stations so far, but say they're working on adding more:
