You can't say what would be the repercussions if subsidization is stopped. We know that there would be some economic contraction, followed by a removal of socialistic controls, followed by economic growth.

Why don't you be a good central planner and tell me how it would all work out????

Thanks! :D

Israel wouldn't be a blip on the radar without American intervention.

I told him I was not going to let him snake out of the fact that America is intervening with our tax dollars and you're trying to let him off the hook. Just stay out of it.

Of course the U.S. has been intervening for decades in the region. That must end!

I'm just asking you to show me how you, as a central planner, know that Israel would only be an economic "blip" without U.S. taxpayer monies.

Thanks.

"Of course the U.S. has been intervening for decades in the region. That must end! "

But just you saying it must end doesn't end it. The combined total of military and financial aid is roughly 114 billion per year and that doesn't include high tech military secrets.

How did Israel get their nukes? How did they happen to acquire such a formidable air force?

South Africa was able to be a regional power without U.S. military technology, and was able to develop nukes on their own. I fail to see why Israel, with one of the most educated populations per capita in the world would be unable to duplicate that sucess.

I don't know where they would be, other than that they would be forced to deconstruct their socialist welfare state... which would lead to economic dislocation and eventually, a new equalibrium.

You tell me now, as the central all knowing Nostradamus you claim to be, why this is wrong.

Israel and Egypt are at war with Gaza, and have it under a naval blockade. If a ship wants to bring humanitarian supplies, they just have to dock in Israel or Egypt and have the cargo inspected.

You keep mentioning this war that Israel and Egypt are in. You can stop saying it now. We get it. The fact that you repeat it with cut-and-paste repetition makes you look like a Mossad bot. Besides, it's glaringly obvious you only mention Egypt to give i$rael cover, when you know i$rael is the issue here.

Ahem. So by your logic, Hezbollah, the other belligerents in this war, can pick out the next ship of food and medical supplies en route to i$rael, board her from helicopters whilst toting machine guns, force her to land at the nearest port for a thorough inspection?

You keep justifying all things favorable to i$rael and condemning all things unfavorable to i$rael based on "legality." But a man with half a brain would know that legality is not a fixed star. In fact, that's why wars and battles often flare up, precisely over a disagreement about what is legal. Case in point: my proposed Hezbollah helicopter raid would surely be illegal from i$rael's POV. Oh they would cry and moan and gnash their teeth. Then they would surely say something like...oh... I don't know...maybe something like:

...to kill 6 million people, I do not.

HAHAHA HA. There's that number again! When will you people learn how ridiculous it makes you look to keep using it. You think it is a magic number that protects you like a kind of shield. But to most rational people, it screams "idiot alert." The next time you're cashing your check from Foxman, why don't you give him my warmest regards.

Hezbollah is not a country, and does not operate under the international rules of war, but if it did, sure, it would be completely justified in trying to interdict Israeli supplies if they had Israel under a naval blockade.

Egypt is in a state of war with Gaza. It isn't mentioned in the press because that would make Israel more sympathetic in this incident. Israel is enforcing a naval blockade against a government with which they are at war.

Simply not true. The mainstream press reports in many stories from this month that Egypt only had the border shut for fear of an Israeli attack, but after the act of piracy, they were sympathetic enough to risk opening the border.

Is your troll sig about keeping men from knowing what they can't see, namely that Israel is a rogue Nazi state?

It is true. Egypt is under no threat of an Israeli attack, rather, the Muslim Brotherhood, the terrorist group in Egypt allied with Hamas, has been murdering and killing Egyptians for many years, and its goal is the overthrow of the Egyptian government, revocation of the "Edict of Nantes" type religious liberty laws on the books presently which allow Copts to practice their Christianity, and transform Egypt into a fully Islamic state under sharia law.

Hosni needs to keep the people from thinking he is too closely alligned with Israel because they will be more easily swayed by the Muslim Brotherhood if they view him as being on friendly terms with Israel.

Learn something about the geopolitical nature of the region before you opine.;)

Egypt has a strange way of treating people they are at war with.

Egypt has kept the Rafah crossing border point with the Gaza Strip opened for a third consecutive day, allowing thousands of Gazans to cross over to the African nation, Xinhua News reported on Friday.

On Tuesday, Egypt suddenly decided to open Rafah terminal after the Israeli Navy seized a pro-Gaza aid flotilla a day earlier. The opening was in part due to the pressure by Arabs and Palestinians to end the three-year blockade imposed by Israel after Hamas took control of the Gaza Strip in 2007.

The Turkish aid flotilla was carrying activists from around 40 countries as well as medical aid and construction materials. Israeli soldiers who boarded the vessel - who wanted to search the vessel for weapons - were met with heavy resistance. Nine protesters were killed by Israeli soldiers.

Egypt stated that the border with the Gaza Strip was reopened to allow humanitarian and medical aid as well as receiving patients in need of urgent medical attention and students who need to resume their studies in Egypt.

Is your troll sig about keeping men from knowing what they can't see, namely that Israel is a rogue Nazi state?

Nazi indicates the presence of what Ludwig von Mises described as Zwangshirtshaft in his book "Socialism", which is based on the state direction and control of the means of production while allowing the veneer of a "legal fiction" of private ownership to remain. In essence, converting former business owners into state-managers of the economic resources.

Now, I don't know if that is precisely what exists in Israel, but by all means, show it to me and if it is the case I'll agree with you. :)

Self Defense??

The autopsy results showed that a 60-year-old man, Ibrahim Bilgen, was shot four times in the temple, chest, hip and back, the Guardian said.

A 19-year-old, named as Fulkan Dogan, who also has U.S. citizenship, was shot five times from less than 45 cm (18 inches) away, in the face, the back of the head, twice in the leg and once in the back, it said.

Two other men were shot four times. Five of those killed were shot either in the back of the head or in the back, the Guardian quoted Buyuk as saying.

In addition to those killed, 48 others suffered gunshot wounds and six activists were still missing, he added.

This was not self defense.
These were executions.

It is possible, we don't know all the facts.

This Jew, John Toylarstein, would swell with pride at the manly Israeli commandos executing others like some kinda Nazi SS stud, who, undoubtedly, due to Jewish behavioral deficiencies will probably be back again, throwing murderous Jews into ovens, who will then shriek, "Oy, the humanity of it all! We were just minding our business and you came and threw us into ovens!"
