My wife was recently in the hospital for a month. I drove back and forth the same route every day. My car is lettered with RP on all windows. When the nurse came to our home, she saw the car in the driveway and said, "Hey, I see that car on Colony Drive every day!".
1. Sign your vehicle.
2. Write letters to the Editor of your local rags.
3. Call your local talkAM radio stations regularly.
4. Attend your city's regular council meetings and get your 3 minutes (most are televised on cable)
5. Attend sign waves with your Meetup group.
6. Organize (or just do it yourself) a door-to-door literature placement campaign.
7. Place signage and lit at small business locations.
The list is endless, but the point is: We don't need TV news blurbs. As everyone has seen, the segments are so short and the media is expert at spinning everything.
I personally prefer that all these wanks who keep getting mentioned on this forum never do a story on Ron Paul. I never heard of any of them until recently because I don't have TV, and if I did, I certainly wouldn't watch 'news' on it.
If I only had the news (and that means all of them, local and national) to go by, I would think RP is a doddering dark horse long shot of an old man who clings to ancient, outdated ideas with no chance to win.
That is the image that all of these wanks project, and it is effective. Stop looking to them for publicity. It's not gonna happen.
Make your own news, locally. 15 years ago, Paul McCartney taught me, "Think globally, act locally". We have enough people to win the primaries, we just have to make sure that they V-O-T-E.
Sorry for the rant...just tired as he!! of seeing false hope placed in these media hacks and the links to their sites that only enrich them and will do nothing for our cause.
