She made three interlocking points. First, that the United States is now governed by a “permanent political class,” drawn from both parties, that is increasingly cut off from the concerns of regular people. Second, that these Republicans and Democrats have allied with big business to mutual advantage to create what she called “corporate crony capitalism.” Third, that the real political divide in the United States may no longer be between friends and foes of Big Government, but between friends and foes of vast, remote, unaccountable institutions (both public and private).

In supporting her first point, about the permanent political class, she attacked both parties’ tendency to talk of spending cuts while spending more and more; to stoke public anxiety about a credit downgrade, but take a vacation anyway; to arrive in Washington of modest means and then somehow ride the gravy train to fabulous wealth. She observed that 7 of the 10 wealthiest counties in the United States happen to be suburbs of the nation’s capital.

...

“This is not the capitalism of free men and free markets, of innovation and hard work and ethics, of sacrifice and of risk,” she said of the crony variety. She added: “It’s the collusion of big government and big business and big finance to the detriment of all the rest — to the little guys. It’s a slap in the face to our small business owners — the true entrepreneurs, the job creators accounting for 70 percent of the jobs in America.”

Wow. She sounds like Alex Jones. Hope she keeps repeating this if she gets in the race. Then we might be able to justify a Paul/Palin ticket.

Wow, Palin is only 100 years late to the party... Speaking of Palin's Friend/Foe Institutions, she seems to be quite controlled by a few.

Do as I Say... Not as I Do!

People here are rightly skeptical, but please don't be dismissive.

Yea, seriously. We all know Sarah Palin hasn't been a good representation of what needs to be done in America, but maybe she's had a change of heart or maybe her eyes have been opened. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt because it would be excellent to have someone with her power, calling to attention what is going on behind the scenes.

Glad to hear this fro her, because she gets press and it legitimizes what Ron has been saying for years.

That said, I hope she doesn't enter the race and just keeps bringing up these points.

look if paul picks palin i would leave the gop and stop donating. I would never trust palin and would lose my trust of ron paul! so go right ahead and elect obama if you want! there is no justifying a paul/palin ticket in any fantasy!!

it is nice to hear but is it really sincere? did she even write it? My spidey senses say watch your back. A good way for palin to look good and be anti-establishment would be to endorse Ron Paul 2012. I will keep listening to what palin is saying but i would never turn my back to her or her handlers!!

Hmmm. Sounded good. Hopefully she runs. I think there are some alliances that can be forged here.

I have always thought she might have a good heart and she just wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Lots of us used to be neo-cons. If people never had a change of heart and turned on the evils of ours system, Ron Paul would still be polling at 2% and I would be voting for Rick Perry.

Sounds like Dr. Paul wrote it. She should endorse him in return for the gig as the last Secretary of the Interior. She could oversee the sale of all the federal land to pay off the national debt and fund social security and medicare. :D

I don't personally care whether she is sincere unless she runs for president, as it does more good than harm.

Problem with Palin is that she went from someone we regarded as an ally politically to a raving McCainiac neocon, so she has some SERIOUS trust issues with RP people. Alongside that is all the crazy paranoid drama crap she stirs up all the time. She really is unethical, vindictive and backstabbing. Who needs all that baggage?

Yeah, she gets press but as soon as she crawls out of her little Fox-bubble she'll get destroyed because she can't handle criticism. She'll melt down.

I decided this week that Palin is angling to run. She is going to run independent, or invent something called "The Tea Party" whos banner she will run under.
