Common painkillers 'increase risk of hearing loss'

That's why I use cannabis for pain relief.

i run into a problem there, half the time i get a headache from smoking, so i take aspirin to get rid of it.

I am trying to find more detailed results of that study, I wanna know how the painkillers cause the hearing loss.

I've heard that the butane from common lighters contributes to that effect.

One thing's for sure; I'm going to start using Alleve very sparingly. My hearing is my livelihood.

I hope you guys don't mind me bumping this thread, but I'm really beginning to panic over this news. I take Naproxen for fairly severe and debilitating leg pains and inflammation on a semi-regular basis, but as a musician, I can't afford to lose my hearing.

Medical cannabis is an interesting prospect, and I'd be lying if I said the idea hadn't crossed my mind before, but it's not legal in this state and I don't want to do anything that might get my family in trouble.

Are there any other herbal remedies that could take the place of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Aleve?
