CNN reporter claims most OWS protesters are libertarians that support Ron Paul

You realize it's a national movement now that is in over 50 cities, many of whom DO support Ron and are fighting for real change. Get over yourself.

Exactly. Also remember that dividing people is the PTB's motive. Always has been and always will be because it leaves the people powerless.

This is a pretty large sample, If there is a libertarian in here doing spirit fingers I'll donate to Rick Santorum's campaign

that's hilarious!

but, you know, there might be a group here or there who are, because we have some pretty evangelical folks here who think these guys are confused but may prove teachable. But no one is joined up in any national structure. I think the main NY thing is pretty socialist, though.

Yeah, I've seen all of them plus about 100 more. Point being, as many Ron Paul supporters are there, it's a tiny minority, and of all the signs I see on tv there are 100 "class war ahead" "end capitalism" "eat the rich" etc for every 1 "end the fed"
It's about political common sense, we don't want to be painted in a broad stroke with anything to do these folks
"signs I see on tv", there is your problem then. You are NOT getting real information only mainstream media garbage. The media can hardly keep both views of "a tiny minority" and "most OWS protesters are libertarians that support Ron Paul" at once.

The question to ask yourself at this point in the game is -- can we do anything about CNN tying OWS to Ron Paul? The answer is no. I think we're worrying too much about it. Answers will come in time, and I think Cain is wrong to blast OWS and say that "if you're not rich, it's your fault." Ron Paul has already stated that he supports peaceful protests and understands people's frustrations, but he also said he doesn't know "who those people are", so he never publicly associated himself with the movement. Thus, there is nothing to worry about one way or the other. We have no control over the media, but if push comes to shove, nobody can say that Ron backed OWS.

I was at OWS yesterday, and i gave two speeches about the fed. Both speeches were very well received (I'll be able to post a vid as soon as this girl who has it sends it to me). I had a RP shirt and a RP sign. Most people I spoke to were friendly, open to the message, and welcoming of libertarians into the OWS movement. Honestly, some people on this forum need to stop being partisan idiots. Revolutions aren't started by people who keep to themselves and refuse to work with people who have different viewpoints. Revolutions aren't started by people who are terrified of any little negative attention that comes their way. If we want any hope of long term success we need to extend olive branches, not burn bridges.

STOP BEING DICKS.

And stop being so god damn insecure about the MSM coverage honestly.

I know we have people there, but we don't want to be associated with them. If the reporter said something like " small minority of RP supporters try to educate majority on what real capitalism is" I would have had an orgasm.

What are you talking about, I didn't say i get my information solely on tv? The average American aka VOTER does, bro

Yep. That's want we required here, real information from people on the ground, not false information filtered through the mainstream media.

Just watching CNN and the live reporter from the scene of one of the protests was asked if the protesters were supporting any particular party or candidate and said said many are libertarians and are supporting Ron. If any GOP primary voters were watching we just lost their vote. It was pretty bad, she actually made it sound like the majority of the protesters are Ron Paul supporting Libertarians.

Interesting. Michelle Fields said the same thing on Freedom Watch Friday night, although she was referring to Occupy DC.

I think everyone on rpf is and has been pretty aware for weeks that there are RP people there, I think you're seriously missing the point of this thread, political ramifications.

Likely Republican Primary Voters do not like those protesters.
