You would think with all the idols he's brought out lately that he'd be able to raise more.
Socialism people rob the treasury they dont willingly put anything into it.

...What Obama ( and even McCain ) does is appeal to emotion rather than intellect. They do the same thing as a horoscope or fortune teller. They say things in general enough terms that the listener fills in the specifics that suit what they are looking for. Voila! the perfect candidate.
I saw something similar go on at the Republican debates. When they answer a question, they take so long your eyes glaze over and you just focus on key words and mentally fill in the blanks. But if you actually parse what they are really saying, 9 times out of 10 it makes no sense at all.
Obama supports the Homegrown Terrorism Act, and states we should take our troops out of Iraq and get into into Pakistan and even Iran. How is that 'A Change we can Believe In?'
Well you can say that he can be good or bad but with Him being a Constitution Law Professor and then walking in the senate and reauthorizing the Patriot Act--after teaching Constitutional Law for 10 years- Bet we will not know what we would get from him--I will never understand why he was not the first to stand up and yell no way can I sign to reauthourize the Patriot Act
Makes me wonder what he taught in that Constitution Class of his
Expand Service-Learning in Our Nation’s Schools: In November, Barack Obama laid out a comprehensive plan to provide all Americans with a world-class education and give our schools a substantial infusion of funds to support teachers and principals and improve student learning. That plan conditions that assistance on school districts developing programs to engage students in service opportunities. Obama believes that middle and high school students should be expected to engage in community service for 50 hours annually during the school year or summer months. He will develop national guidelines for service-learning and community service programs, and will give schools better tools both to develop successful programs and to document the experience of students at all levels. He will encourage programs that engage with community partners to expand opportunities for community service and service-learning opportunities, so that students can apply what they learn in the classroom to authentic situations that help the community. These programs will also involve citizens from the community engaging students in service opportunities through the Classroom Corps.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the language sounds as if we are going to require high school and college students to serve. Serve what? The plan involves expanding the army and peace corp. so I could see this turning into a back-door draft quickly. And community service to be pushed upon anyone trying to go to college? No thanks, I'll pay for my own.Require 100 Hours of Service in College: Barack Obama will make college affordable for all Americans by creating a new American Opportunity Tax Credit. This fully refundable credit will ensure that the first $4,000 of a college education is completely free for most Americans, and will cover two-thirds the cost of tuition at the average public college or university. Recipients of this credit will be required to conduct 100 hours of public service a year, either during the school year or over the summer months.
At the national level, the Social Entrepreneurship Agency (below) would oversee the fund network to ensure that they meet these criteria. The agency would also help the funds learn from one other, enabling them to build a body of effective practices and expand their knowledge of possible solutions to the problems they seek to address.
So big government will be fostering "nonprofit accountability"? I'm sure nonprofits will just LOVE the Feds breathing down their neck.Social Entrepreneurship Agency for Nonprofits: Barack Obama will a create an agency within the Corporation for National and Community Service dedicated to building the capacity and effectiveness of the nonprofit sector. The agency will be charged with:
• Improving coordination of programs that support nonprofits across the federal government.
• Fostering nonprofit accountability.
• Streamlining processes for obtaining federal grants and contracts, and eliminating unnecessary
requirements.
• Removing barriers for smaller nonprofits to participate in government programs.
