Club for Growth targets Trump with $1 Million ad campaign in Iowa

But don't fuss at me. I didn't make it that way. I just noticed it.

The emperor's ass is just nekkid. That's all.

In this case "reality" is that support from the Club for Growth means nothing except that the candidate paid them extortion money.

Which explains why their preferred list of candidates is as diverse as Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Rand Paul.

Extortion requires force or at the very least, a threat. Considering the strength of your accusations, could you please point out where the threat was in that letter?

I would argue that this actually seems like a case of Trump trying to buy the Club for Growth. The letter says that Trump indicated interest in making a donation. That would make more sense, given his past bragging about buying everyone.

For Pete's sake,...take the red pill already,..*gee*

So you are unable to provide any proof or support as to your accusations?

Club for Growth actually has a decent record in terms of candidates and causes they support. Trumps record is atrocious and he candidly admits to trying to buy influence. So why in the world are we supposed to consider this extortion? No, I think I'll chalk it up to standard fundraising.

Reality is a bitch sometimes, guy. But I bet you can cope with it if you try real hard.

It gets easier with practice.

Good ad and the whining of the trumpster is really funny on here. It is a solid message about Trumps solid support of Corporate eminent domain and sorry BG but I don't care who the messenger is.

The Club for Growth didn't care much for Ron Paul's ideas, either.

The Club for Growth was not against Ron Paul. They were not against Ron Paul's ideas. Their top donors are libertarians. They pointed out how Ron made perfect the enemy of good. They have different approaches but roughly the same ideals.

On the other hand, the Club for Growth has been critical of Trump for years. Trump's positions on virtually every issue are opposed to what they stand. They asked him for money. That's what they do. They are a PAC. Trump would be exhibit A of someone they would attack. Trump is a free market hater. They took down Huckabee in '08. They criticized Santorum heavily in 2012. Trump is an ideal target for them.

EDIT: As I look into this, the group claims Trump initiated the meeting.

Looks like Trump offered to give C4G a bunch of money and when they told him they would take his money but they wouldn't be bought he recanted the offer. The Trumpaloompas, as usual, are living in fantasyland.

I suspect this will hurt Club for Growth worse than Trump.

No. It's a PAC, not part of a popularity contest. The people who donate to Club for Growth are not idiots, they will be plenty glad to see their money in action smashing fakes like Donald Trump.
