Chris Wallace on Ron Paul

Just said on FOX Newt, "the only candidate whose support is rock solid is Ron Paul's".

He further added that Ron Paul supporters are not going to like it when they here me say this, but a Ron Paul win in Iowa will discredit the significance of the Iowa cacaus because he is not going to be the nominee (paraphrasing).

He's outright telling Iowans they'd better not vote for Ron even if they think he is the best candidate. Why else would that possibly be something to consider? And he doesn't mention that if Ron DOESN't win, the Ames straw poll is discredited as a predictor of the caucus, which predictor remains intact if they DO give their votes to Ron.

Honestly, we will hear this Iowa is discredited stuff unless he wins NH as well. Which he does have a realistic shot at doing now. The Insider Advantage poll puts him within striking distance (8 points with a 4 point MOE). While I don't see Romney's numbers dwindling that much before NH, I do see Newt losing support, that coupled with a 5 point or so bounce from an Iowa win means that Paul can win NH. Donate and call - that's the strategy right now.

This is a plus. Pass this around to Iowans. It'll piss them off enough to vote Paul to spite Wallace.

I think he's going to win NH because the Iowa's win will be real strong. People follow the leader.

When that happens, they will find absolutely anything to discredit him including comments about his ill fitting suit and the fact he's driving bicycles with only one hand, and no helmet to boot! :p

Ron should try to work that into the debate. Just a quick one-liner...something about Iowans voting for whom they want rather than letting the media tell them who they should vote for..

They will be able to discredit New Hampshire as well. They'll resurrect Pat Buchanan's win as evidence that it is meaningless.
