Careful there, AF. They look at those same statistics and think to themselves, "See? These SWAT raids are working! If we increase them all over the world, we could get terrorist attacks done to nothing world wide!"Number of terror attacks in the US in the first half of 2012 - 0.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents,_January–June_2012
Number of paramilitary SWAT raids in that same period in the US - 20,000.

In fact, the number of terror attacks for the entire world for that period is maybe 60 or 70.

...Anyway, Mr. Flab’s comments show yet again why politicians are the enemy of mankind: “‘…I just want us to be really cautious, because this strain of libertarianism that’s going through both parties right now and making big headlines, I think, is a very dangerous thought…”
Hmm. Mr. Flab must have excellent eyes, far better than mine, because I sure as heck don’t see any libertarianism in either party. Yo, Flab: feebly pushing back against horrific totalitarianism, official murder and theft, espionage against taxpayers and endless lies is not libertarianism, OK? It’s just common decency, though a very weak strain of it.
I assume the WaPo considers the “hard” part the fact that Mr. Flab challenged “libertarians” to ”come to New Jersey and sit across from the widows and the orphans [from 9/11] and have that conversation.” Do you suppose a century from now, politicians will still exploit 9/11? And boy, Flab, if you think “libertarians” quail from telling “widows and orphans” whose husbands and parents died on 9/11 that freedom is far more essential to human happiness than safety, well, I’d like to see you come clean with those same widows and orphans and tell them that the terrorists who killed their loved ones hailed from the government of the good ole USSA.
Flab added, “I’m very nervous about the direction this is moving in.” That’s because, in addition to all his other sterling qualities, he’s a craven wimp. (Thanks to Jay Stephenson for the link.)
