Chris Christie attacks libertarians

ive been watching Chris Mathews coverage of the Paul/Christie exchange. It has been his primary story of the day. Pretty decent roundup of the situation as well. Not really bashing either guy. He even showed the famous Ron Paul Rudy Guiliani exchange of '07.

I guess Chris Christie has already forgotten the lesson of 2012. The GOP will NEVER win a presidential election again WITHOUT us!

Viva La rEVOLution.

Thanks for the encouragement. This is yet another answer to the people that say "[Insert RINO here] is the lesser of two evils and you're really voting for Obama if you don't vote for him." We have political power, we can force the GOP to keep losing, and we should do it.

Although, we cannot let them forget its us. So don't vote Dem. Vote third party or stay home.

Unless its Rand Paul.

BTW: I don't give a crap about Christie's weight. To make fun of him for that is offensive to fat people, some of whom are likely pro-liberty. I don't know if I'd classify as "Fat" in the same vein as Christie but as someone who is 6 ft. tall and 250 lbs, I'm definitely overweight. And not a neocon.

I give a crap about the fact that he hates freedom. That's my problem. Not his weight.

not a fan of the guy but he does have appeal. Issues like drones, the 2nd amendment and privacy rights dont resonate with North Easterners, even those who lean to the right in these parts. Christie being pro-business and anti-union makes him likeable - and he doesnt have the baggage of Rudy (no pun intended)

Christie has been against Ron and Libertarians for awhile. The first time I remember seeing him, he was running for governor and on Hannity's show with Giuliani right there next to him, smiling that ghoulish grin at his protege. His campaign also sent out attack pieces against an RP Republican running for state house or something along those lines. Something about how he endorsed radical (except in bold red) Ron Paul for president and wanted "surrender in Iraq". The RP guy one, which at least made me happy.

But yeah, he's going to embrace the role of proud hawk in a way no one other than Santorum will. I suspect the others will try to downplay it, maybe say they want to "protect America" but keep a low key to foreign policy while campaigning. Christie's going to be out there proclaiming to never forget.

OK, so if Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are "Dangerous Libertarians", what the crap is Murray Rothbard?

I don't think the ancaps are aware of certain unfortunate political realities.

I didn't say anything positive or negative about anarcho-capitalism (As per my sig, I'm a minarchist, not an anarcho-capitalist.)

I said:

If Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are "Dangerous Libertarians" how the crap would you describe Murray Rothbard?

Actually, we are altogether too aware of them ...

I don't know where he gathered the idea that I said ANYTHING about anarcho-capitalism as such in my post.

Did you notice any such?

I simply asked, if Rand and Cruz are "Dangerous Libertarians" what word describes Rothbard?

I didn't say anything positive or negative about anyone's views.

That's refreshing to hear, but some ancaps are constantly calling Rand and others "sellouts", when they wouldn't be even be permitted in the building. Unfortunately, that is the current state of affairs.

I was simply addressing those who state that Rand Paul's crusade is useless, when the establishment is absolutely incensed that he merely exists. Every ancap should be pulling for Rand Paul because he is pushing buttons we haven't seen pushed in a long time. It's going to be fascinating to watch the further he goes, win or lose.

I personally support Rand, but do not trust Cruz. Take that as you will.

What I think is hillarious is that the establishment calls both of them "Radical" "Libertarian Extremists" "Isolationists" exc. when they aren't any of those things. It just makes me wonder what they'd call someone like Rothbard, Rockwell, or Tom Woods.

Eric Bolling just said "Chris Christie, you lost a fan" and sided with Rand. I think Rand has shown how you can win over even hard-core neocons like Bolling.

That didn't happen by accident. Rand has been a maestro at building connections outside of what is seen on TV.

And the establishment is speechless...

I have asked them the question they cannot answer. Why do people still take them seriously? When they can't even answer an 18 year old?
