Campaign releases NEWEST AD!!!! (+$1 million combined buy for next 3 ads)

This ad should go over well in NH from the people I talked to there in door to door in 2008.

You're looking at the ad through the eyes of a Ron Paul nerd. This ad targets a very specific audience - it wasn't made for me and you.

+1 rep! We can't forget that we're trying to win an election, not indulge us fanboys. :p

"I'm ron paul, and the tone of my voice is extremely inappropriate given the context of this commercial".

As a veteran and a member of veteran organizations I can tell you this ad will do wonders to those in this fraternity that view it. Great job on the campaigns part!

Great idea for ad. But, it should be more dynamic. More effective. I don't know - for a whole minute ad, it don't say as much as it could. Compare this ad with "Plastic man" one minute ad. I can't avoid feeling that team that made "Plastic man" ad would make much more effective one minute ad about Ron's military service and support he gets both from active duty military and from veterans.

Careful, I don't think trying to "say a lot" during an ad necessarily is a good thing. After all the good ads this campaign team has come out with, I am convinced they know what they're doing playing to people's emotions. It's not dynamic, but it's effective. You can't make all your ads the same. The fact that he is the only candidate who was a veteran will hit home for many people.

I don't know that plastic men was better just because I personally didn't like the 'plastic' animation start of it (I realize I am in the tiny minority on that). But this frankly reminds me more of 'He's catchin on' and I'd prefer something like the 'Morning in America' ad Adam T etc were discussing. I agree it was time for an introductory ad, but something as tiny as getting someone medals after all Ron has done and all his consistency? I hope not much of the buy is aimed at this one, to be honest.

It is fine, in a world of unlimited money, but as someone else said, in a full minute ad, it could have said a lot more. Look at the END of plastic man, or the end of 'He's the only one we can trust'.

Whatever. Just my 2 cents

very good ad ,especially for the older generations!! geesh i am 43 and talking about older generations sigh hehe

Fantastic ad, it's about time we had a military-themed ad. Should help patch up any doubts GOP voters have with Paul and I see this playing well in Florida, Iowa, and SC. Also like what the campaign is doing to target Iowa and NH.

Something tells me that this was made to counter the boos at Ron's foreign policy questions at the last debate. If he does everything about the same and just tweaks that answer today, he will be the golden boy.

I don't know. When most comments are 'I'm sure this is wonderful for someone else and that is the only reason it isn't clicking with me....

I'm pretty sure they are going to hit him on immigration, with Gary, try to get Ron to respond to Gary in a way that won't be taken well by GOP primary voters. Last time they had Gary in it was drugs and prostitution, remember?

Blah... Sleeper and doesn't address the female vote. Couldn't get a WAF in there or a middle aged daughter proud of vet dad?

You can't do everything at once. This ad is focused on the senior citizens, which is also a demographic we have trouble with.

I guess you can't please everyone.

It was in Conviction, too. He needs to do two or three more of those in different tones so they have some to choose from.

Well, as someone said, the last debate he was hit on military, so this is a response to that. Viewed in that light, I like it better. For tonights' debate, anyhow.

speaking of fanboys. we should have a film maker make a remake of fanboys but with ron paul supporters vs neo-cons ron paul supporters being the star wars fans and neo-cons being the evil trekkies:) or at least a ron paul ad or laong those lines. here is trailer for more ideas along those lines, for younger age groups like 18-43:)
