I'm in...

Thank you guys! Tuesday is the run-off. Going to be really really tight from everything I can see. This run off is so unique because there aren't but 3 races on the ballot and this is the most high-profile of the three. So that means that turning out voters is priority #1. Combine that with rising COVID in GA and you've got a race that will be decided by organization and enthusiasm.

Wanted to also point out a couple good pieces of news. Club For Growth made a $175K anti Clyde ad buy which can be seen here

a $250K Pro Gurtler ad buy which can be seen here

FreedomWorks has also endorsed Gurtler and made a $7500 ad buy but it is facebook only so i cant embed the video.

Protect FreedomPAC has been running this ad in North GA

This is all good news but i do have some bad news. The same PAC that torpedoed Brakey's campaign in ME just put up a $100K ad buy against Gurtler. The PAC is America Policy Fund. The PAC is linked to John Bolton. I have not seen the ads so I don't know exactly what the line of attack is but I am assuming it is DIRTY. Suffice it to say Matt's challenger is literally going scorched earth in this campaign. His whole strategy has been centered around smearing Matt.

There is no Federal race that the neoconservatives and MIC do not get involved in. This should be a given.

Run off is tomorrow. If you haven't checked out the new "China Clyde" website now is a good time to watch the ads and please share them via FB and social sites. www.chinaclyde.com

Polls have closed! It's time for the moment of truth, folks.

Follow the results here https://www.nytimes.com/interactive...house-district-9-primary-runoff-election.html

If you are following along the eastern counties have started reporting. Those are all Clyde strongholds, the numbers will go up as the other counties report.

A couple harbinger counties to follow are forsyth and hall. They are most populous and most up for grabs.

unfortunately early results are terrible. I think it's safe to call this a loss. Thank you to everyone who contributed and phone-banked. back to the drawing board.

Neocon swamp almost always wins.

I think the take-away here is that if you are going to run a no-compromise Ron Paul Republican literally everything has to go right. In terms of money, Matts campaign fundraised well and we had almost $2M of outside money helping Matt (freedomworks, protectfreedompac, liberty pac, concerned american voters pac). So money wasn't the issue. Matt had pretty solid name ID being a state rep for 4 years. He ran a good campaign and had a hell of a ground game. I think the thing that killed the campaign was the fact that he was the only republican to vote against the solemani resolution and also the fact that he skipped the vote on a "peace officers" bill of rights. At the end of the day there is only so many votes where you can go against the grain and still come out victorious.

I think the key thing here is that we had, what, 3 congressional races that we ran? Brakey, Gurtler, Freitas - that is not enough. Both Brakey and Gurtler had the money advantage versus their opponent when you factor in PAC's but still lost. The ground game in both races was solid as well. I think we are going to have to more stabs at the apple. Maybe we win 1/10? I dont know exactly, but we need more stabs at the apple for sure.

The other takeaway, and I believe this is absolutely paramount....

We are gong to win many more liberty races when the sitting president is a Democrat instead of a Republican.

Unfortunately every GOP president is doing tons of unconstitutional stuff and liberty candidates don't compromise so we are bound to catch flack for that. When a democrat is in power our "NO" votes wont catch any flack from our own party.

Honestly, I think the best thing for the liberty movement is for Donald Trump to lose in November.

A couple pic's from the campaign trail. Even though it didn't end the way we wanted we gave it a hell of a run. Hat's off to Matt.

Matt's loss is super depressing, not gonna lie. If Freitas loses, it looks like we won't add any libertarians to Congress this year. Although we do have some Rand Paul-endorsed liberty lite candidates like Cynthia Lummis and Matt Rosendale.

We have to look at the long game here. As Trey pointed out, in the event that Trump loses that will fuel anti-establishment fervor on the right and make it easier for Ron Paul and Thomas Massie types to get elected. We do have a bench of liberty candidates around the country waiting to run (think people like Tyler Lindholm, Glenn Jacobs, Rick Becker, and Stewart Jones). All we can do is continue to support that bench and try to add to it.

Yeah, we actually have quite a few liberty-lite or liberty-questionable candidates that have a great chance to win their general election race. Madison Cawthorn, Nancy Mace, and Kat Cammack (in a good position to win primary) are all good candidates too. There are questions about how liberty friendly they are but at least they have some upside.
