Rick Perry Breaking: Perry pulls out of S.C. Forum

uhhuh, just like I suggested the other day. if I was managing Perry I would urge him to avoid all forums, debates and public townhalls.
Why bother if foxnews is willing to cover for him?

Well now Perry won't be at the debate?

How interesting.

I wonder if he will get a bump in the polls because of this....

He may still be in the debate, just not today's forum. Though if the fires are still burning, he'll have an excuse to skip the next debate, too.

Cnn reporting it. Interesting Fox isn't yet, and went to him live at a town hall in South Carolina just now.

It's smart to hide his dumb.

He'a answering questions live now, and as he speaks he sounds more and more ignorant, but too many people seem to be buying the bullshit by the sounds of the applause.

Oh boy - can't wait for the photo-op of him in hardhat and carrying unused shovel as he "handles" the fires....
That's what I was picturing. The only difference would be real firemen in the background glaring at him as if saying, "You're not fooling anyone, poser."

I live in Texas. Perry is doing the right thing by staying in this state in light of the fires. Anything else would have been branded totally irresponsible.

Then change that to "coming back to Texas." These fires are really serious.

Then I wonder why they were not serious enough for him to leave the town hall meeting he was speaking live at half an hour ago. Just questioning his decision, not the danger of the fires.

Because that was filled with pre-screened questions that they had a chance to program his answer to in advance, silly!

Exactly. He was not in any rush to get back. It is a political stunt.

Honestly, I can't see what he can do in regards to the fires if the National Guard aren't needed. The most he could do is not get in the way.

He will go back for a photo op, to show his "strong leadership", and then get back to campaigning.

I am the last person to doubt the seriousness of wildfires, but I'm definitely one to doubt the impact having the Governor in state can have.

Just my opinion from experience.

Yeah... I'm in Texas and we have been under drought conditions for months. And these fires have been going on for weeks. Where was Dick Parrot weeks ago. He's a thug and a chicken shit. His handlers have pulled him out so he doesn't have his ass handed to him. They need more time to get him ready with canned answers to cover all contingencies in an open forum.

The facts on this jerk are starting to come out and some hard questions are going to be asked. He is not ready to answer them. He requires more programming before they turn him loose. His campaign people are really good... they know they have potential problems when the tough questions are asked of him directly.

They are pulling him out because of the fire danger alright... the danger that Dick Parrot will burst into flames and end his short term surge and presidential aspirations when faced with honest questions on camera.
